Ex-Spurs Player Christian Eriksen

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

20m is low-ball and Levy would laugh them out of the room.

Actually, I could see Baldini piping in acting all:

I wish he'd shoot more. Is it just me or does he always seem to look for the pass first until the end of games? Then he knows we need a goal so he scores.
He'll fire off a couple of warning shots that get closer and closer to being goals, too. Urgh. Love him.

Funnily enough. It seems that Chadli, Kane and Eriksen all go for that bottom left corner, with more precision than pace. Something from training, perhaps?

Eriksen seems to get his shot on target (not blocked) more often than not, so perhaps he's quite patient when it comes to shooting rather than other players that have a more hit and hope attitude.

I think you're right that it might be. Chadli and Kane sometimes go for the right bottom as well, to mix it up.

But that 22-yards out, left side of the pitch shot into the bottom left corner seems to be a pre-rehearsed strategy. They all seem to do it the same way, with a short run to make space, and then often using the defenders as a screen so the keep doesn't see the ball get released.

Playing with some visualization tools seems to show that this is definitely a thing:

Teams will start realizing how dangerous Eriksen is, and that's why I wish he would play behind Kane. Anytime multiple guys go after Eriksen that frees up loads of space for Chadli or Townsend to feed a clean ball to Kane.
