Just caught the Man City - QPR highlights with the Agueeeeeero moment.

Something that struck me is how 'oh fuck me, not again' the crowd looked (despite the financial doping having begun, of course) followed by the fantasy land jubilations. It kind of reminded me how our fans would react to a similar situation.

Fast forward eleven years and they've won three league titles on the bounce and are closing in on the treble. But their fanbase seems to have had a big influx of glory supporters and success seems to have just desensitised them over time.

It's almost sad. Maybe it'll happen to Newcastle in the next decade.

True, true. Every league win they do now just feels like white noise to the rest of us, and it's less special to them each time.

Thank fuck Woolwich didn't win the title, but I don't doubt for one second that they'd have been going crazy if they had in a way the Citizens didn't.
