Combination of factors, one of which is likely the court case.

An ageing, stale squad that has achieved everything there is to achieve in the game is more of a problem though I would say.

Guardiola made a grave error not calling it a day when they won the treble.
 
Great manager pep but been spoon fed with the 3 clubs hes managed. Thats why i admire poch. Walked into a rabble with us and took us to brink of premier league and champions league glory. Couple more defeats hes in trouble imo unless oil spend big in january.

It drove Poch insane that he was expected to keep defying financial gravity with the same team year after year.

He could only motivate the same guys for so long and he knew it.

Poch is not a good steward of a well funded transfer operation, we've seen this throughout his career. It's tough to have huge confidence that everything would have worked out if we'd have operated like a real football club during the stadium build. But what an utter disgrace that we didn't even try. I can never forgive Levy for that.
