Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Doesn't the evidence point to the opposite and they are?

I'll read the article today, knowing Matt Law it is full of coulds and woulds.
Matt Law has been "briefed" by Chavs. Chelsea (I guess most clubs do this in their efforts to control the narratives - in Chelsea's case I would also say that this is them deliberately confusing/destabilising the noise around them, with all the shit they are trying to pull off it's to their advantage to have everyone guessing what they are doing - right down to putting their hard copy accounts in the mail rather than file electronically). I recall Twomey of the Athletic during the summer, he wrote at least 2 in-depth pieces (and was on podcasts and TV slots) about how Chelsea will comply with FFP/PSR, with no mention of selling a Hotel to themselves to achieve this (the ONLY reason they "might" have succeeded in becoming compliant), no, he was briefed by Chelsea to say that they would be compliant because they would reduce their wage bill!!! He went to great lengths to detail that new signings were on smaller wages and they had shifted out loads of big wages etc...The reality was Chav's wage bill actually increased by approx 25%!!! he was miles off it, because he was sucked into the briefing pumped out by the Club.

I think Matt Law has been around far longer than Twomey and knows full well that he would be foolish to print completely what Chavs want him to, so he covers his arse with "maybe, could and woulds".

Shouldn’t the narrative be that their £1.3billion squad is set to finish below the team that was predicted by many to be relegated without Harry Kane?

Why are Chelsea getting praised? And who said that Spurs were title challengers?

It's pure engagement bait, nothing more

It's absolutely outrageous to even suggest that that was some kind of narrative but it done It's job and everyone bit.

Sports media is absolutely on it's knees

Chelsea are the prime example of how the 'feeling' around your entire season can change...

They started abysmally, yet have recently been winning (and scoring) for fun!
Now the feelgood factor is there, but they're only still in 7th...

Meanwhile we started SO well, but have fallen away dramatically recently... people are calling for Ange's head, and doom and gloom already is sleeping into NEXT season! Yet 5th is very much in our hands, and ridiculously (although I'm starting to think; terrifyingly) 4th is still mathematically possible with 3 to play!!

Flip both clubs' first 3 months with their last 3 months, and you have a totally different outlook to both seasons!

S'weird, thass all

Not being able to play the massively over-rated Enzo has helped them a lot. They have a far better balance in the team without him even if technically he's a better pure footballer than Gallagher.

I actually think they could be dangerous either next year or the one after that with a few good signings. Palmer and Nkunku are both capable of being elite level players. Gusto is quality, and they are now even getting a tune out of Cucurella on the other side. They seem to be forming the team spirit they were really lacking for half of the season.

More significantly they posted the 2nd highest wage bill in the PL of £404m, (only just behind City) but because their revenues have taken a massive hit (below us now) their wage to turnover is now an unsustainable 80%!!!!

Thiago Silva delivers brutal parting shot to Chelsea team-mates, warning 'egos' have got in the way of progress and claiming fans in Brazil would have thrown ROCKS at players for their 'unworthy' displays

Thiago Silva has left his soon-to-be former Chelsea team-mates a brutal parting message as he prepares to play his final match at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Brazil international announced that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season last month in a tearful video message which demonstrated exactly how much the club has come to mean to Silva since his 2021 move.
The defender has had a far-from-ideal final season in west London, with Chelsea not competing in Europe for the first campaign since 2016-17, and failing to secure silverware.

While Mauricio Pochettino's players are hoping to end 2023-24 on a high note with a tilt at fifth place in the Premier League table, Silva feels that the team has fallen short of club expectations.
The 39-year-old therefore used his final interview to hand out curt advice to the side he is leaving behind.
