I’d be shocked if they could build a new stadium at Earls Court for 1.2 bn.

Although if that’s the net spend ; assuming they flog off the old ground for development etc ; but even so I’d be surprised given they don’t actually own the land at Earls Court ( and just as much as their real estate is worth a lot ; so is land in West Kensington and environs ) .

To sum up ; others will know better than me but 1.2 bn seems implausible to me .
The fans own the pitch at Stamford bridge. They need to agree to any move otherwise Chelsea can't redevelope there. Last few times they've tried they refused

"Ange-ball breaks players"

Note: Iraola had a similar injury crisis despite not have to contend with Europa League or a deep LC run (and having yet to play any more FA Cup games than us)............

Surprised there aren't more alarm bells over this.

You are saying compare Bournemouth, and Iraola is a coach I like. He’s also got a lot of injuries, but unlike Spurs, Bournemouth haven’t gone since mid September (due to internationals) with their players playing two games a week. Meaning he gets to coach a lot more than Ange does throughout the week for months.

I got no answer to this from the poster I was discussing it with.

I like Iraola, but it would be fucking interesting to see his equally aggressive approach do two games a week since September with his injuries.

I think his methodology is more risk averse than Ange's, so he may eek out more points still, but it would definitely get tested a lot more.

I’m not against Iraola but have very similar concerns.

At least it would be a similar direction but I’ve not really seen anything that makes me believe he’d finish any higher than the 5th Ange did in season 1. And we have no idea how he’d adapt to playing in Europe if we qualify

Interesting points in here and although I don't like Angelos and would point to last season's tail off with no Europe you know the toll it takes on a squad (I think it was Lamela who went into detail about this years back)

They won’t get Earl’s Court. The developer doesn’t want them there

I did address what you said. Theres no alarm bells because he has a tiny club pushing for top 4
What agenda is that? Not wanting Spurs to be in 12th just about. Limp out of 2 cups?
Seen as ye are mad to say about Iraola having tons of injuries too, would ange have bournemouth in 5th 1 pt off 4th with that panel that bournemouth have.
Now take theyre injuries where would Ange have that injury hit squad of theirs

It has nothing to do with Ange and everything to do with the fact that he's (Iraola) racking up masses of injuries without having to content with cup runs.

Ignoring that fact would be foolish............... Unless of course you think we've had nothing but bad luck all season and our injuries aren't linked to how we play and how we're coached.

...........Afterall; by your earlier logic, we've a bigger squad and higher profile players so we should be more durable than them as a squad.

Same as Ange last year who limped into 5th. Iraola with a tiny club less talented players has bmouth in 5th. I know which is doing a better job.

I think we're basically agreeing with each other going by your last 2 paragraphs.🤷

Nobody wants to be in 12th and be out of the cups
Iraola didn’t have half his squad and its major components missing for nearly 3 months. Bournemouth have no European games and much to your chagrin exited both cups early.

Last season we were about as injury hit as they are this went out of both cups early and had no Europe. We finished 5th. Iraola the Chosen should at equal that no?

Despite all that last season we went out of the Carabou Cup first game this season despite what you cite as garbage we managed to get to the 2nd leg of the semis beating City Utd &Liverpool. That’s an improvement

We went out against Villa away days after playing Liverpool with a severely depleted squad. League leaders couldn’t even manage to rotate like we’ve been forced to do for one game. I couldn’t fathom your reaction had Plymouth Argyle beaten us.

But our injuries don’t really count do they?

I reiterate Agendas got to Agenda.

He has had half his team missing.Much to my chagrin Bournemouth are out of the cups?? What a comment. I couldnt care less.
You are comparing the 8-9th richest club with all our resources to a team with a 11,000 seater stadium.
BOurnemouth being in 5th with a ton of injuries is a bigger achievement than us finishing 5th with injuries. Hiw can you not see that. Or does it not suit your agenda

Half is team missing for how long.
Goalkeeper? 3 out 4 starting backline? Both wingers? No other fowward to rotate? And yes let’s ignore that we played a game every 3 days since last week of October.

Maybe none of that matters because, agenda (couldn’t be)

Right - this year. Bournemouth loads of injuries. Iraola has them in fifth. No europe no cups.
Last year. Spurs. No cups no europe finished fifth.
Iraola having them in 5th is more impressive than our performance last year due to the different size of the clubs.

Iraola has been able adapt to injury crisis better than ange has been able to imo.

Also cut the shite about agenda this agenda that because i dont think ange is doing a good job.
