That’s not a lot of money for them. I know they posted a loss last season, but on the back of £665m revenue. If they want to sack him, they’ll find £12m somewhere.

Staff makes it chunkier I suppose. Plays signing fee for replacements. Still weird to think that Utd can’t afford to sack someone. Been a money machine as long as I can remember.

I think it’s more the case of only having to hold off a few more weeks to save a chunk of cash rather than putting off indefinitely.
Cant help thinking if united were 3rd like us it would be wall to wall coverage on sky. Comparing almorim to Ferguson and celebrity united fans will be coming out of their shell. Normally Usain bolt is the main one.

Yep but they’re obviously trying to avoid a lumpy pay off by waiting a few weeks, otherwise they’d have just binned him off already.

As things stand United can't buy the best players, so that means that Amorim will have to add even more value to any squad he presides over.
Like a few managers, I think he is probably a good coach, taking over too big a club at the wrong time.
