Fair play to Chunky Mbuemo though, his goals were good finishes.
It’s a fine result, but maybe not the most solid performance.
Apart from the first and last 10 (mainly due to Amorim's silly subs) they had Brighton on the ropes and pushed them back...created nearly double their xG so they more than deserved it on the day.

Only saw the highlights, so can’t be fully confident, fair. The brief amount of the match I saw didn’t look that convincing.
Faustian plot twist - that doesn't mean United is actually good.
Still a flawed team who will lose plenty of silly games but in Mbeumo they have one of the genuine stars of the league and I think he, and to a lesser extent Cunha, are making a real difference. They're badly in need of a quality central midfielder, but they have enough quality up top to just about compensate for that.
Not being in Europe or Carabao is huge for their league form and I think they'll have a decent season and finish somewhere around 5th/6th. Especially if they strengthen in Jan.
Real shame Mbeumo chose United over us. Kudus has been great but Mbeumo's next level.

INEOS/Ratcliffe has a history of bringing sponsorships to an end earlier than the original contract end date - rugby and sailing being other examples.
Still £11m in our bank account is ok - Ratcliffe will spend more in firing canteen staff and other lower waged staff in order to bring ManU cost base down.
