I was thinking Bruno Fernandes typifies this 'era' of United.

But then I realised Luke Shaw has been there forever being rather average

Then I also realised Mason Mount has been practically anonymous since he signed

Then I realised I could barely name one member of their squad that has really made a difference for them over the years



Maybe a bit harsh, but they are that shit version of Liverpool with Konchesky and Carroll

Ah my friend, you have jumped-in without understanding that was exactly what I meant, as a few will, or may attest

You see there are a few posters on here who give a very strong impression of thinking it's pretty much all about expenditure

It's often a mixture of a few things, but also fair to say it's highly unlikely any team can be successful without a reasonable level of outlay.
