After that a grim fight against relegation.
I'm off to the Winchester to wait for the whole thing to blow over.
The glimmer of hope is that no matter how bleak things might seem , we've still got Daniel LevyNever ever in my exended years of supporting this club has it felt as shambolic.
Dump your load if and as you see fit, but amy notion of laughing at any other club at the current time, just seems the absolute height of hypocrisy.
It can be closed if we find a glimmer of hope from the rot.
It could get worse... the season is not yet over......
any game where we played Calum Davenport, for starters
Fair mate.
This thread is simply to expel some air. I get zero pleasure from laughing at other clubs whilst it feels we are in the mire.
It's a bit like laughing at someone who has been shot more times than me.
I can still take the piss out of other clubs. It’s all banter..as a Spurs fan you need a thick skin because we’ve been the banter club for decades. Shouldn’t stop you enjoying it when rival clubs fuck things up, because they will do.
Don’t stress it too much.
We've definitely had it worse results/league position and football wise...In my lifetime
Ardiles
End of Ramos
Gross
All clearly worse, imv. Then we've had a few rudderless/weird periods like Santini and Stellini, but they were so short it's hard to judge.
My Eyes Have Seen The GORY!!!I've been at it for 47.5 years now. ENIC have been here for approaching 24 years; which is virtually the half way stage of my unique Spurs journey.
77 - 01 my eyes saw the glory of 81, 82, 84, 91 & 99.
They also saw cup final defeats, in 82 & 87.
cup semi final defeats in 82, 87, 92 93,95 & 99.
01 -25 my eyes have seen the ENIC glory of 08.
They have also seen cup final defeats in 02, 09, 15, 19 & 21.
cup semi final defeats in 01, 07, 19, 22,
Tells you everything.
What about Tackleberry (Santini) that was like having a barbed wire colostomyMy 2nd season following Spurs was the first time I experienced the type of vibe we are currently on.
78/79
Burkinshaw was up and down that season. Woolwich hit us for 5 and Liverpool lumped us 7-0. We rode it out and it turned out lovely by the time Keith quit in 84.
The next period I didn't enjoy was 87 / 88 under Venables. I have stated before how I feel Venables set up problems for Spurs further down the road, in the early 90's, due to the team / squad he built / dismantled during this period.
93/94 was a nightmare after the promise of 92/93. Oldham away was the low point that turned out to be a high point.
95 - 04 was the decade of despair but Spurs still manged to win a League Cup in 99 and play in a few semi finals and finals along the way. The Gross year was the all time low. Paulo Tramezanni's debut, away at Wimbledon, was my own personal low point.
Since 04 the lows for me were Juande Ramos, post League Cup win, AVB after Harry and everything since Poch was sacked.
This has been coming for 5 years.
No that was the Everton that watched whilst we pulled our own pants down, and then ran around with them round our ankles and our thumbs in our mouths.
