Player Conor Gallagher

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's like an F1 car (a lot of our players are)

Run it at low speed and it won't even go in a straight line, no grip, it's just terrible

Run it at high speed and it works, it's got traction, it shows what it can do...

Indeed he's a chaos player, plays at high intensity and presses like a mad man, thats how we need to use him

I Got You Help GIF

Good second half from him
Good to get another full game under his belt
He still finding his way with team mates but his engine was def kicking in second half and took a few knocks during game too.
Read the intercept well to make the goal as thats his bread and butter.
Loved also second half was giving out lot of instructions to team mates bout picking up players …

Great to see him getting in amongst it with the lads celebrating the goal too.

I felt he was being exposed in the first half when we were defending since the other players weren't properly closing down passing lanes so he's the one that had to come out and leave his space and engage.

Also the setup first half was causing our midfield to be pulled apart by Man City so easily. Second half having an extra midfielder definitely helped. We were also taking the game to them which is where Gallagher can shine. He was able to push forward, win loose balls, play quick one touch passes into the final third and put in a good cross for the second goal.

We sure about this? It was way behind Solanke it would have been a fucking shit cross had Solanke not pulled off the incredible.

This guy is all mentality and effort , hopefully it rubs off on a lot of the players around him .
Always trying to play forward and you could see he wasn't happy with some of the backwards passing .

Bit harsh, he got the ball in the box quickly and the delivery itself was good. Even if it didn't quite hit the intended target.

Shit crosses to me are ones that are nowhere near the intended target. He had it in the right area. The key to a good cross isn't even necessarily pinpoint accuracy. It just has to be close enough to cause chaos for the opposition which is what his cross did. So I'd say it was pretty good.

I think a lot of our players fit the same mold

Not necessarily chaos ball, but high tempo, intensity, front foot...
For the first time this season It clicked to me that these guys would thrive with someone like Iraola! Pure chaos and intent! Guys like Gallagher, Simmons, bergval, paulinha, Romero would all be unreal in such a system!

If in the board I have a serious look and speak to lots of people to see if he could cope with the step up. Boy it would be fun to watch!
