Which is a fair argument, if that's how he put it but I was just going off what you wrote, saying that he's the worst signing in history, which is just silly.

He obviously isn't 'the worst signing in history' Raskiak, Postiga, Ndjie, Nkoudou etc... were all objectively worse players than him.

But considering the context of what he was meant to bring to this team, his mahoosive wages and where we are and the impending relegation then he will gown in folklore the worst signing in the club's history.

Meh, he's just another shit signing in a long history of shit signings.
We've got a long history of signing the wrong players.
Remember when we couldn't get Mane, so switched to Sissoko?
We never buy what we need, our eyes light up at the idea of "opportunity" and any clear thought goes out the window.

Fucking club.

He wont.

Gallagher was brought into a dysfunctional team already low on confidence and is on his third manager already.

The club have failed him not the other way round.

Such a strange way to look at this...si.ply not sure where the expectation that he alone was meant to save us... playing in a different MF 3 every week with his back line making error after error.

Agree with a lot of what you say mate but this is just weird.

No one cares about that, the optics and the narrative will be that the Gallagher signing was a catalyst which sent us down and typified the way that ENIC were running the club, that's my point.

Haven’t even needed in Jan we had plenty of midfielders. He wasn’t even an upgrade or needle mover. We needed some quality eithe in forward line of in midfield. Someone who can pass the ball or beat a man. We got neither. That is what has really done us that Jan window. Heads should roll for that!

Something happened around January because the first part of the season we gained nearly all of our points, 29 out of the 30 IIRC. As shit as Thomas Frank was in the first part of the season, if we'd have maintained that form we'd be well above relegation.

We've gone from earning 29 points up until the end of December, to 1 point from then until now.

I think selling Johnson was a mistake, pissed off the rest of the players, Kudus gets injured, and Gallagher doesn't make any difference. Then Odobert gets injured, we don't have any wide players unless a rookie is prematurely promoted from the academy.

There's not much RDZ can do, we're going to have to find a way of playing so the fullbacks can get forward to provide width

Couldn't maintain it because Frank's playstyle was unsustainable.

Gallagher was bought for next season when Palinha and Bissouma have definitely left, and possibly Bentancur and Sarr go too.
Unfortunately the idiots that pushed for the purchase were so fucking arrogant they never stopped to consider we'd be where we are if that's all they did.

It's not Gallaghers fault we are where we are.
It's the two twats that didn't go panic buying in January or take serious stock of the manager situation soon enough.

Look at those stats for Chelsea in 23/24
The volume of passes, the completion % etc are all considerably higher than the dross everyone at the club has served up this season.
Those stats look like they belong to a coached football player rather than a runner who got a spare kit thrown at them.

He isn't our biggest concern.
