Player Conor Gallagher

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Gallagher was bought for next season when Palinha and Bissouma have definitely left, and possibly Bentancur and Sarr go too.
Unfortunately the idiots that pushed for the purchase were so fucking arrogant they never stopped to consider we'd be where we are if that's all they did.

It's not Gallaghers fault we are where we are.
It's the two twats that didn't go panic buying in January or take serious stock of the manager situation soon enough.

I am still so happy we’d didn’t stress purchase Lookman when he was offered to us or overpay for someone like Hackney when we needed a passer.

It will be so much easier to buy world class players when we are relegated.

Something happened around January because the first part of the season we gained nearly all of our points, 29 out of the 30 IIRC. As shit as Thomas Frank was in the first part of the season, if we'd have maintained that form we'd be well above relegation.

We've gone from earning 29 points up until the end of December, to 1 point from then until now.

I think selling Johnson was a mistake, pissed off the rest of the players, Kudus gets injured, and Gallagher doesn't make any difference. Then Odobert gets injured, we don't have any wide players unless a rookie is prematurely promoted from the academy.

There's not much RDZ can do, we're going to have to find a way of playing so the fullbacks can get forward to provide width

In my opinion the window was that shit the core players lost there head

It wasn't great still but we had injuries and was in all comps at the time. Club responds by buying an 8 we didnt need and selling someone liked in the dressing room and refusing to buy cover we desperately need because players where due back soon.

4 months later no one due back is back and you can tell morale is rotten. ENIC are a cancer that's now got to the bones of this club as simple as

He's a big contributing factor, yes.

Whether Gallagher was a necessary signing is secondary or tertiary even to the fact none of our midfielders has shone like a beacon and that Gallagher himself has been so poor.

I thought he would provide leadership and some sense of midfield order. Thus far nowhere to be seen.

A lot has gone badly wrong this season and as such, it feels impossible to pass judgement on anyone but to find that so many players aren't doing the basics is really hard to understand.

Lol. He's had 12 games and he's the scapegoat?

Typical.
During a period where the entire team has been shit and nobody has looked capable for more than one half of football.
But yeah, let's blame Gallagher! 🙄

He's not the player we needed in January but that's not his fault and surely we've seen enough to know that he's a capable and steady player at the very least, from his time at Palace and Chelsea.

We all knew he was shit technically but we expected him to be a physical beast and lead the press.

Instead he's been running in treacle. Not sure what's happened there.

Without that element to his game he is properly useless. Probably our worst midfielder currently.

And maybe why Athletico were willing to let him leave. We sell Johnson, who many would say is nothing without his goals and buy Gallagher, who is seemingly nothing.

The cycle of ineptitude shows no sign of ending.

Depressing.

We are fans on a forum, and think we know what we are talking about, but mostly it's just opinion, better or less informed.

You have highly paid individuals who are supposed to have their fingers on the pulse. It's their living and they are employed by a massive club.

It's just incredible.

It's almost as if they're purposely sabotaging or something...

In general I agree but he was partly to fault for Sunderland's goal, he was half arsed with challenging the player before the shot that caused the deflected goal.

He was quite largely at fault.
But that was one moment in a 90 minute match, where we hardly had a shot in anger.
Blaming him for a 1-0 loss is like blaming Kane for us losing a game 4-1 and he put us ahead.
Football is a team game.

Even Stevie wonder could see we needed an attacking wide player. With both kulu and kudus out plus selling Johnson. The jury was still out on tel and oddjob as wide players. Frank never trusted tel anyway. Yet Lange and co thought it ok to leave us with a forward choice of tel, oddjob, Richi , kolo and Solanke who was just coming back from injury. Since then oddjob has got injured. We were short on numbers already and defo quality. How lookman or akaloush couldn’t have helped us thinking by Lange is scandalous. Instead we get a nothing player who has added nothing to our midfield. I’d say the young u21 kid is better than him and looks a tidy player.
