He is a good player. No explanation for why he hasn't been good so far, but if we get relegated he needs to lead our midfield engine room, so that the more able players can do their bit.

He played well today, his first genuinely good game. That was the Gallagher we saw at Chelsea.
Noticed today him having a go at teammates for not matching his aggression in the press and pressing as a unit.

I'm not really criticising him and I would love for him to come good. But you can look back at his times with chelscum and with us to easily see the difference in fitness. I just thinking our fitness and medical department is shit.
Could be he’s carrying a knock and isn’t training at 100%. Agree tho, nowhere near his best…. VO2 max does drop off slightly after 25 so a physical drop off is not a huge surprise although this looks to be something else

Yeah - he wasn't brilliant but he actually looked like the Gallagher I was expecting when we signed him. Looks much more natural in that kind of pressing number 10 role rather than deeper in the pivot.
Solid performance overall. Still need more from him though.

Yup. Still a horrible signing but if we're gonna have him it's encouraging to see him at least doing the thing he's actually meant be good at.
