Heard that the Odibert injury is serious
Cruciate ligaments?
Ange Postecoglou has said a muscular injury sustained by Tottenham Hotspur’s Wilson Odobert in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory at Coventry City could be “fairly significant”.

19-year-old Odobert, a summer signing from Burnley, was substituted off in the 18th minute of the match away to the Championship team after appearing to pick up a muscular injury.

Another one that came up in my chat with the Old man. Combined with Werner currently stinking the place up, we were both of the opinion that Mikey Moore should be given an opportunity in the next match.

Whether it is a start or off the bench, I really don't care, but could he be any worse than the current version of Werner we are seeing?

I'd actually like to see him off the bench, as I think he'd give a huge lift to the fans in the stadium. If he plays without fear and actually looks to beat his man, I could see the crowd really getting behind him vocally, which in turn would lift the team and, maybe, inject some urgency & confidence into them.

As I see it, self confidence is currently our biggest issue. It's slow and safe, with the fearless risks we saw early last season not being taken. Get that confidence up again, and gain some momentum, then I do believe we'll see a vastly improved team on the pitch.

Last night wasn't the night for Mikey. If he had screwed up and we lost then his whole time at Spurs he would have Morose Matt, the boy David and their miserable mates abusing him on TFC.

Bugger!

Coventry clearly expected Vic to play as their tactics at corners was to crowd the GK but Forester was not so easy to push around. Vic really needs to get in the gym to be strong enough to resist the crowding out.

Forester was garbage for those corners, flapping, dropping the ball all the time. he's fortunate that Brennon was protecting him well.
was embarrassed for him, he's absolutely finished at this level, he should be seeing out his career in leagues one to two

He is a different kind of player from Werner. Moore doesn't have the pace but he has great technique, an eye for goal and a high football IQ. Werner doesn't use his pace anyway so I think Moore should get a chance to show what he can do.

By the way nobody has mentioned that Forster had a good game last night. Apart from the first minute, but even then he pulled off a good save.
He wasn't half bad, but when it was 1 - 1 I was thinking 'bring on anybody but Fraser'. Just take the gloves yourself if you have to, Ange, but please not another shoot-out with Fraser falling to the floor like King Kong after a Mickey Finn.

If you didn't celebrate that last minute winner then you probably need to take a hard look at yourself. Some of the reactions here makes me think certain "fans" were nearly excited for us to lose so they could pile in on Ange
I celebrated the last minute winner sure, but that performance was on par with the 3-0 defeat to Fulham last season, we played just as badly if not worse.

Agreed, we were talking about the next match.

At this point in time, Odobert looks like he'll be out long term, and Werner is more hindrance than help. I highly doubt that MM could be worse, and he'd get huge backing from the home crowd.

We had just brought Son on to play up top (instead of left wing) - but then as soon as that sub was made we went a goal down.

I think that likely changed the plan of bringing Moore on tbh. Luckily for him, Odobert is now injured and with there being no sign of Richarlison, a spot on that bench just opened up for him.
