Firstly, those counter examples you give are completely irrelevant and totally different scenarios.
Woolwich got rid of Aubameyang because he was a bag egg prick.
City got rid of Joe Hart because they were backing their manager who believed he was signing a better goalkeeper.
And with the Liverpool one, injuries are something that recruitment teams cannot control.
Also, please don’t tell me you’re that naive to believe what Ali Gold says re the say our manager has on transfers. He has said pretty much the exact same thing for every manager we’ve had in the last few years. He’s a known mouthpiece for ENIC.
We were told Poch had the final say on transfers for years, how did that turn out?
I don’t have it in my head that Levy is a “mastermind” but to try and argue he still isn’t a huge influence on the football side of the club is just off the scale head in the sand stuff.
How predictable...a load of mental gymnastics and waffle...
You asked "What chairman/ownership that has even a smidge of the football side of the club at heart would operate like that?" in terms of leaving the manager 'high and dry' and I literally just gave you examples yet you're willfully and rather predictably missing the point .
The point I'm making is about choice and planning for the long term:
Woolwich could have replace Aubameyang with a striker in January - they didn't and chose to get Jesus in the Summer - long term planning
Liverpool could have bought another CB in January, they didn't and decided to get Konate in the Summer - long term planning
Man City could have kept Hart who was a better keeper than Bravo - they didn't they bought in a keeper who kept throwing the ball into his own net but he aligned perfectly with the way Pep wanted to play because he could play with his feet - long term planning.
We could have kept Sanchez - We didn't, we chose to clear the decks of a player who ultimately wasn't good enough and we will most probably strengthen that area in January - long term planning
lol You don't want to believe Ali Gold because it doesn't align with your narrative, cool, even though our manager has repeatedly said that they aimed to trim the squad down which was the priority.

You just need to accept that Sanchez was always out the door, we were trying to get rid of him all Summer and was always likely to leave - Ange came out in the press conference and said as much was happy for Sanchez to leave in the end.
Also quit with the strawman, no -one is trying to argue that Levy doesn't have an influence on the football side, we are talking about this Summer's transfer activity and how much influence Ange had over recruitment, the evidence is right there staring at you in the face but you're that desperate to have your biases confirmed - you ought to let it go mate.
