that one foot deeper is what plays him onside.

yea fair enough hes let vardy just go, but the whole reason we are under threat is johnson's feeble attempt to clear then he gets outmuscled like the little meek weasel he is, then udogie doesnt get anywhere near close enough to stop the second cross coming in....its not just romero.

he probably does want out, who can blame him. good luck to him i think theres a lot to like about romero, very good player who plays with heart. should of been made captain, instead weve got another meek little weasel so we can cash in on his asian fans.

sell romero to the greatest club in the world and let this pub manager spend the cash....football suicide.

On form today mate

Because everyone that plays for us seems to have gone backwards.
Who has gotten better in the last year? Who is even a the same level?
Porro same level, VDV same level (a very fucking quick level). Can't say that anyone has got better so far this season compared to last. I guess Madisson has been a little better for the 1st few games this season than the last 10 of last season, but still no where near the level he showed for the 1st 8 or 9 at the start of last season.

His mistakes are born out of our penchant for last ditch defending though.
Who else plays with 10 players in the opposition half and relies on chasing after counter attacks?
Who else seems to have no idea what to do at corners? Every single one of their corners the other day could have ended with a chance or goal. He wasn't at fault for all of them.

And let's be real here, he may have made mistakes that caused goals, but proportionately, how many has he prevented?
If a striker scores 30 goals, you don't call him shit because he missed 5, do you?
No, he wasn't at fault at all of them but on one he was daydreaming and that cost us the game.

If you find one player who game after game is costing us goals, you probably want to do something about it.

Maybe he is already checked out on moving to Madrid? maybe it's because Ange is failing to get the best out of the players? The latter is certainly true.

However, let's be honest Romero has been utter shit this season. And also let's be honest, he is so overrated by our fans. He's not even in the same conversation for best CBs alongside King, Toby and Jan. With them you genuinely always felt secure and they were so reliable. Magestic in defence. Romero is a complete clown in comparison.

He is so overrated because of his exploits with Argentina, but to me for us he's rarely ever been consistently at a high level. You can't be such a top CB yet make so many mistakes so often. It's very possible he just struggles with the high intensity of English football and would manage more in Spain where his mistakes would be covered by Madrid's riches in attack.

He's typical of Spurs where we are right now. Reputation proceeds us but when you properly analyse, we are poor. No consistency, no reliability. Just so erratic and naive.

I would genuinely have no qualms about selling for 80 million to Madrid next summer, Id bite their hands off. Shame we won't spend the money on good players but it is what it is.

That cunt Levy is underpaying him. Would Liverpool, City, Chelsea or Woolwich pay him as little as us? No
I don't disagree that our wage structure is shit but it's quite the statement to infer that his ooor performances are because he feels undervalued and underpaid. That's incredibly unprofessional.

He's not getting paid hundreds of thousands to turn out for his country and seldom puts a foot wrong.

That doesn't mean he should be exempt from criticism though. Just because we have failed to score doesn't mean his terrible defending should get a pass.

TeflonRom indeed.
Oh I don't disagree, but it's not healthy to attribute blame on one player. He's made brain farts, which have directly led to goals. What of the players than conceded the corners? That gave up possession further up the pitch that left him exposed in those situations? Who should have covered when he pushed forward? Why do we play a system that requires us to score two goals to ensure a positive result? It's more than just Romero. It's just easy to look for someone to blame for the shite.

Romero definitely isn't the only one getting the blame. The reason he is getting pelters though is because he's one of our best players, regularly called a world class centre back, yet has cost us 4 goals in 4 games...

Our offensive players are blamed every single week for not being able to do the offensive stuff. They're the ones preventing us from outright winning.

And sadly, Romero is also at hand for costing us plenty of points early on. If our offence could do their job, it means we'd have to rely on Romero less but we're not giving up chances so it's sad that the rare time we do give them up, Romero is costing us.

Luckily, neither of those are system related. They're personnel issues. Romero will sort it out. He's too good not to. But he shouldn't be exempt from the criticism when he's pretty much at hand for directly costing us goals and points. That's silly

I haven’t said his performances are a direct result of that. However it is an exhibition of lack of ambition (despite what little Daniel thinks) and that will surely at some point affect some players negatively ?
