Cooked way too easily by Diaz for Columbia's goal.

Reminded me of how he was playing before he decided to switch on for the final few EL games.

Maybe he's still hungover from the cup celebrations tho tbf.

If he really wants out. I'm an not at all against spending big on the best replacement we can. Guess Guehi is out of reach now but I think he'd compliment VDV really well on the right center.

Yeah but the problem with replacing him is Levy.

We probably need a marquee signing to replace Son this summer as well. Chances are we will try to sign both replacements on lower wages than both Son and Romero are on and they will be lesser players.

The financial model of this club isn’t based on being able to improve now, it’s all about hopefully improving in a year or 2

Agree - except more like year 3 or even 4 …

We're not signing Guehi. His ariel stats are not good and neither are vdv's and we'd be targeted like crazy along with vicario it's a horrific match.
Frank like ariel and physical dominance. I've not checked his stats but I can see why we get Braithwaite links.
My personal choice would be tapsoba from Bayer leverkusen the guy we wanted before.

Tapsoba and vdv would be quite the cb duo.

Tapsoba also plays on the left that makes zero sense you'd have crap passing lanes out from the back. And here's the joke Romero isnt brilliant stats wise in the air either. Which hasn't been terrible because few teams play like 80's Wimbledon. Also is Braithwaite not a lcb too? I was the most vocal poster on this forum when we were linked with Tapsoba by the way. I think Guehi's other assest would easily level any deficit.

Tapsoba is right footed. Can play left because he’s 2 footed but he’s right footed.

Hes one of the very very few attainable CBs who wouldn’t be a massive downgrade on Romero. Guehi is a massive step down with the ball.

The problem is he's almost irreplaceable . He showed in the final ("where he didn't put a foot wrong") how good he can be . But he also played a few games where he looked disinterested . This was after Real Madrid came sniffing around . Levy quoted them £150mil and they backed off and went away . Since then Atletico have charmed him and he wants to go there . He wants to play in Spain , so it will take some convincing that he can win CL at our club . I don't fancy our chances of him wanting to stay here .

He did cook like 4 players though and Romero was left 1v1 against an elite dribbler. Youd expect a top dribbler when one on one with that much space able to go inside or outside being able to get passed their man.

Obstacles that always existed and always will exist….

Same breath “this beautiful club”

Udogie and others talking about “things that need to be said”…

These players love this club and the fans but there’s clearly plenty more they want to say.

Romero held this until the new coach was announced btw. Comes off as a warning of what to expect.
