Mbuemo is already at the level that Romero's enthusiasts believe he is.
He would also give everything and be available to Spurs every game; when he is not genuinely injured.

Danso is an honest, reliable, out and out defender who will be available to play most games when not injured.
Vuskovic has the potential to be better than Romero.
The club may have this position covered in a logical manner.
We need Danso level cover for VDV which isn't Davies.
I just dont think we should be selling our better players right now and leaving the new manager with danso and vuskovic no matter how good they can become.
We need to be adding quality to our squad but it shouldnt be at the expense of another good player.

Romero is a player who on his day, is probably a world class CB, and you would want him in your side leading the team. But the fact he has been itching for a move for a while now, puts him in the "get a good price and let him go" category.
I still like him bur the fact he rarely speaks after the game and that he hasn't really got to grips with the language feels like he doesnt see his future here.
Shame really, as a fit, functioning Cuti is a boon for any side.
He looked good because we went very defensive the whole game and he had the help from the midfield. Thats why I think we should keep him because frank wont let us be exposed like ange did in the league.

I don't trust Danso to be competing with Romero. Vuskovic deserves a chance but if he is anything like Dragusin we are a bit fucked.
Keep him another year, sell him after the World Cup, it’s likely we still get good money then.

Could just as well point out that we finished 4th with Conte and 5th with Ange with Hojbjerg in our team, then sold him for a paltry £17m before finishing 17th

Thats just disingenuous and you know it. You brought up finishing 4th and 5th, which is irrelevant to the EL.
I could easily spin it and say that he was player in the tournament in the EL but barely played a game - and when he did, it was badly - in the league, contributing towards our worst league season of the premier league era.
Keeping a player like that is what holds a club back, because top CBs won't come here to be backup.

Also, when Romero and VDV played PL this year, our form was top 3.
He was injured and made a few mistakes early on but he’s been an elite cb for us the vast majority of games he’s been available
