Looks like he’s going to be the first of the Argie WC squad to get back and play in the Prem.
How does that fit your narrative?
Let's see whether he picks up another injury when national duty comes around, yeah?

Only Spurs fans could accuse their own club of lying to its fanbase regarding a hamstring injury to one of their own players.
Never change guys. You're quickly making us the laughing stock of the Premier League. If we weren't already.
Yes, that's what makes us the laughing stock of the premier league. Because opposition fans really care whether we doubt Romero's commitment or not.
Totally not the lack of trophies, the bottling key moments, the dreadful football lately. It's that.
Youre accusing the club you support of faking injuries.. That's about as laughable and pathetic as it gets mate.
You would like him to be slagged off? Or you want Dier to be slagged off less?Anyone going to slag this lad off for the 2nd goal ?
Standing still, not closing down, not making a tackle.
Or do we only slag off Dier for that ?
Dier slagged off less. You would like him to be slagged off? Or you want Dier to be slagged off less?
100%Dier slagged off less.
There are players at this club who are treated as whipping boys because somehow a false narrative has been foisted on them.
For example, people truly believe that Dier can't pass, and they compare him to Toby.
Yet the stats show, over a long period of time, that Dier has more completed passes (both short and long) than Toby.
Dier makes a mistake, he gets pilloried on here.
Romero makes the same mistake and it's silence.
Of course people will say "Dier's always doing it" ....not true.
Or "Romero has credit in the bank for previous performances"......bollocks, a mistake is a mistake.

And yet Dier is still a better passer of the ball than Toby, despite him "picking up the ballin acres of space etc....."Romero isn't perfect, but he's better than Dire is now and he has 4+ years to improve by the time he's Dire's age.
Did you not notice the complete and utter lack of bad passes, bad touches and complete fucking brainfarts the vast majority of the match?
No dodgy back headers, no complete failures to control and easy pass, no slicing a ball behind for a corner, no picking the ball up with acres of space then smashing it either straight out of play, or straight into the middle of the pitch to an opposition player.
All of that contributed to a first half where we completely controlled the ball, played the entire half in their half of the pitch and they failed to trouble the keeper at all.
That was the safest and most comfortable defensive half of football I've seen since our decent run last season.
Went a bit tits up in the 2nd half admittedly and I left at 0-2 so have no idea what went down after that
Dire is not a good passer of the ball. He get's a very, very, very low proportion of his attempted passes right. And yet Dier is still a better passer of the ball than Toby, despite him "picking up the ballin acres of space etc....."
So no criticism of his awful defending for the 2nd goal.
Point proven.

completely agree, best back 3 we can muster when everyone is fit in that last one. the football out from the back was so much cleaner and more assured. the actual defending doesnt get improved with sanchez, tanganga or dier.Romero isn't perfect, but he's better than Dire is now and he has 4+ years to improve by the time he's Dire's age.

Eric is part of our team, just like everyone else. And yet Dier is still a better passer of the ball than Toby, despite him "picking up the ballin acres of space etc....."

Maybe, just maybe, one’s been here for like 6 years and barely had one good season, whilst the other has been here for a year and a half and shown he can be a reliable player so people are willing to show more patience. I wonder why you don’t go around defending Sanchez whilst tossing some washed up statistic.Dier slagged off less.

you cant be serious if you think dier is better passer than toby? stats are a joke. no situation in football is the same. dier should have 100% passing stats because he takes so fucking long on the ball he should never be losing it.And yet Dier is still a better passer of the ball than Toby, despite him "picking up the ballin acres of space etc....."

I didn't say he was a good passer, I said he was a better passer than Toby.Dire is not a good passer of the ball. He get's a very, very, very low proportion of his attempted passes right.
It's no good just watching some highlights where they show that one pass that worked out. Watch him during the course of the game attempt anything more than a short pass. Watch how often attempted hollywood balls are screwed up. It's non stop. I'm not imagining it, it is happening.
Sadly, no one is making decent youtube reels of these as they're fairly boring. Most people only make highlights or show the mistakes that directly contribute to a goal conceded. Not just how many times we give the ball away when we don't need to.
