That is a problem with changing managers (or having to change managers, depending on how you see it) all the time. The players will constantly get new chances here. I've lost count on how many managers Romero has had here but apparently under the next manager it is all of going to click.

You are though aren’t you. Actually think we would be safe by now if he didn’t get injured. I genuinely do. On the face of it this isn’t a good look but we don’t know what’s really happening. I’m happy to move him on in the summer for a good fee, because of age, where we are as a team and availability. Some of these injury absences over Christmas the last three years especially seemed suss to me. We have a far better ppg this season without him than with him - he shirks defensive responsibility and tries to do it all himself, actively making his partner looking a worse player in the pricess. If anyone has been treated harshly by us fans it would be VDV, he's looking much better with a partner who can be relied upon.
The argument before may have been he behaved this way because of a will to win but I think this latest round of controversy shows us it was out of selfishness and little else
This is more a discussion for the Ben thread than the Romero one, but Ben is easily one of my favourite Spurs players of the 2010 - 20s.
Not the best player that we have had in that period. But just as much if note more of a lynchpin as Kane, Eriksen, Son, Dele and the rest.
We’ve got a good manager now. Last time we had one think we had a better record with him playing.
