Management Cristian Stellini

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Stellini needs to start off with a win and loosening of the shackles.

We will soon find out what the players think of him and he immediately has big calls to make on Lloris over Forster and whether he continues to play Dier, because some things simply do not change.

Much as I kind of like Stellini I sincerely hope this is simply because our preferred summer target is honouring their obligation with their current club.

From the moment the gun sounds at the end of the seaso we need to be active in the transfer market.

If we are going to spend half the sunmer fcuking about trying to secure a manager then we are royally fcuked.

Will all of the Conte staff stay?

We can announce that Head Coach Antonio Conte has left the Club by mutual agreement. We achieved Champions League qualification in Antonio’s first season at the Club. We thank Antonio for his contribution and wish him well for the future.

Cristian Stellini will take the team as Acting Head Coach for the remainder of the season, along with Ryan Mason as Assistant Head Coach.

No mention of staff going so I'd imagine that anyone Stellini wanted to stay will stay - don't forget all coaches will have contracts with Spurs so its likely they would stay unless Spurs told them their services were no longer required.

But isn't he Conte's junior, why would he still be in place along with Paraticci?

I'm guessing the wins and performance against Man City and Chelsea that Stellini was in charge for have given credence to the idea that the problem was Conte dampening the mood at the club with negativity. Reports have been that Stellini is liked in the dressing room and having him there while Conte was away was a more positive environment.

Will be very telling if he decides to go with a completely different system as to the games when he was just covering while Conte was away but still getting instructions
Depends if he wants to continue as a no. 2 under Conte or make a name for himself as a manager. His chance is now.

Could become permanent manager for us.

Poch and Nagelsmann will be courted by other clubs too so I wouldn't consider them a done deal.

I’m really surprised that he and the other staff will stay on, but this is a huge opportunity for him.

I don’t expect him to change much about the shape of the team but he has to understand that’s it’s the way we use the ball that’s the biggest problem. We always look dangerous in the 343 when we get the ball forward quickly. If he can just try and focus on this aspect he might be able to revive the team.

One way or another we have to change the way we play if we are going to turn the season around.
Just letting the team play will go a long way. By the end Conte was worse than having no manager at all.

I demand nothing less that 63 points from these last 10 games. Anything less will be utterly disgusting and pathetic.

His mate goes and he stays and takes over his job, he was brought in by Conte. It doesn't sit well with me.
