How do you know he wasn't offered a non-footballing exec role and turned it down?
My only gripe is he run us more like a business than a football club , however he has left us in a very good position financially, if FFP actually meant anything I’m sure we would have won more during his reign , I’m also glad he got to leave with us back in the CL and as European champions.
I intimated similar a few posts back
But didn't his daughter take over or got more involved the that side of things?
And didn't they also get in a lot of people on the footballing side?

I've always acknowledged Levy for the good. But he overstayed his welcome essentially the second the stadium was finished. If he'd have stood down then, for as much as we still had complaints about him, he would've went out on a massive high.
He's put the club in a great position to be sold, and that's the biggest compliment I can give him. I don't think there's been a better prospect in football as buying us right now.
But his decisions on the footballing side, and how he operated, especially the last 5/6 years has been borderline incompetent. We were going one direction under his ownership and football was secondary.
