Meh, it didn’t give you CL football then and we were in league title conversations. It was universally considered the ugly brother of the CL and nobody wanted to be in it. The ‘you play Thursday night footy’ was roundly considered one of the sickest burns to a rival fan.

Look, I get it .. we won it, and therefore it’s now Huge. But the fans arsed about being in it when we were managed by Poch were a minority. Some were annoyed when we blatantly sacked it off but for the most part it was accepted we were trying to target bigger things.

Poch allowing that squad to pass through the club without a trophy was a dereliction of duty as the club’s manager. He may have magpied himself into only focusing on the big shiny things but what he should have done is made sure that squad tasted actual success as early as possible, to guarantee that they wanted more and knew how to win.

Instead he gaslit those players into believing they were still great for finishing 2nd or reaching finals even though they never actually got over the line on anything. He misguided them.

BREAKING NEWS

Leading ITK leaks the following:

In light of Daniel Levy leaving Tottenham Hotspur and talk of an imminent takeover, we have received inside information that a consortium are leading the chase in taking over this historic club.

The consortium is led by Spurs fanatic Mark Wahlberg along with other famous A list Spurs fans that include Jude Law, Michael McIntyre and Adele.

We also understand that upon the takeover, they will swiftly move to replace Johan Lange as they feel his data led approach is not proving fruitful.

Our sources say that he will be replaced by Danny Rose as they believe his unique Google approach is unprecedented and believe he would find better players moving forward before other clubs have an opportunity to sniff out these players.

Google Led Recruitment

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Levy gone is all good and well, but hardly anything to celebrate IF ENIC more or less continue to do the same with just another puppet pushed forward (to take all the blame). Maybe that some transfers will go a bit smoother from now on. Maybe.

No major changes and certainly no challenging for the league until the club will get sold.

This is the problem. After 25 years of Levy being involved, clubs, players and managers just don't want to deal with us.
Just by removing him and putting someone else in there, with different propositions, tactics, people skills etc, we could open doors that were very firmly shut.
City for instance likely didn't want to sell to us because of Kane.
Chelsea haven't done any business with us for 20+ years since the Arnesson poaching and then Levy refusing to sell Modric.
I'm pretty sure most clubs feel the same about Levy now. And then there's the managers that have turned us down over the years. Conte apparently saying we weren't ambitious enough. Eventually coming, then seeing the lack of ambition fist hand.
And how many Rivaldo moments have we had?

He's apparently earned in excess of £50m in wages in that time.
And his 20-30% investment is now worth aprox 100 times what he paid.
Are you saying he didn’t really need our apologies and thank you letters after all , that this was all about fiscal reward for him

Football side of it then its gotta be a 6, I know people will scream that it shouldn't even be that but we have cemented ourselves as one of the Top 6 clubs and we haven't been relegated , who is to say if it was still Sugar in Charge we aren't more like West Ham or Fulham however for the business side of things I think he gets an 8.5 as financially we are one of the best run clubs in the league.

I think he probably overstayed his welcome here by 3 years , once we were settled in the new stadium he should have stepped back.
