Army of kangaroos to stampede him?

Creative , I like it , could have a word with Ange to help source them

These are my suspicions. It's not like Levy would ever come out and say what pressures he is under from above.

For the first time he delivered on what fans want, which wasn't what the owners wanted.

I have a bad feeling about this investment banker and the new ceo. The childish celebrations and excitement around Levys departure only increase my caution.
i can't totally dismiss your thoughts on this but i agree with others that it makes more sense that the lewis family wants to win and go up a level as a club and think levy isn't the person to do that. big time football has moved past his abilities as a chairman and he needed to step aside to let someone else run the show.

BREAKING NEWS

Leading ITK leaks the following:

In light of Daniel Levy leaving Tottenham Hotspur and talk of an imminent takeover, we have received inside information that a consortium are leading the chase in taking over this historic club.

The consortium is led by Spurs fanatic Mark Wahlberg along with other famous A list Spurs fans that include Jude Law, Michael McIntyre and Adele.

We also understand that upon the takeover, they will swiftly move to replace Johan Lange as they feel his data led approach is not proving fruitful.

Our sources say that he will be replaced by Danny Rose as they believe his unique Google approach is unprecedented and believe he would find better players moving forward before other clubs have an opportunity to sniff out these players.
Plagiarism lives on, I refer the honourable gentleman to my 'Danny Rose wearing bifocal googles 👓' post earlier in the thread...🤫

So much being said, speculated and assumed.

The sickos just want to see more and more investment and when there is more and if success (whatever that is) does not follow they will want more money spent or seek to blame something or somebody else.

I hate the idea of even more money chasing average players, and just hope that whatever we see going forward, it becomes less about the personality of the chief executive/chairman, and nuch more about the competence of the sporting team, whichever model is adopted.

I detest those people who don't or can’t see beyond their blinkers. Those who equate 'X' with 'Y' without wider gaze.

We have just lost in many respects the best leader we will ever have, but it was also apparent during the summer window that Levy had become too central. Too much the story. Too much of a distraction.

The man deserves praise and not vilification, but as with Kane, Son, and our other leading lights of the last few years, the club is all that matters.

And let's hope we don't lose our stability or our identity. Nobody should think neither is possible.

Having slept on it, I'm a bit worried it's for anything other than monetary reasons. So, for me, a sale seems likely.

I don't yet see any firm proof that he's been moved aside to make way for a more progressive, football-oriented chairman.

For:

The big transfers in this summer.
Getting Levy out.
Getting Vinai, Paratici etc in.
It happening at the end of the window (albeit is good one).*

Against:

No commitments (yet) from club.
Lewis family taking control.
It happening at the end of the window (albeit is good one).*

* This could be in either for or against depending on what the actual case is. It seems to have been to give Levy some big credit on the way out of the door. Fair play.

Definitely mixed feelings on this. Levy built a very strong base to build on. Let's hope the next stewards are smart AND brave.

Tottenham are controlled by ENIC International Limited, who own around 86.58 per cent of the club. Levy and his family held a 29.4 per cent stake in ENIC, which made him a minority shareholder in the club, while the Joe Lewis family trust owns a controlling 70.6 per cent.
Although accurate the above figures are a tad misleading in that the ENIC (albeit majority shareholders of Spurs) figures quoted i.e. 70.6 % refers to their ENIC not their THFC holding which is circa 60%...as there are a number of smaller holdings totalling 13,5% approx.
