Management Daniel Levy

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I hope that Daniel & Poch's relationship is better than some posters are making it out to be - reading through the last few pages, anyone would think that they are at loggerheads, when in reality they probably have the closest relationship between manager and chairman.
I don't think either of them are perfect, and mistakes have been made along the way, but they are perfect for us, IMO.
I don't believe spending money just for the sake of it is going to solve our problems, nearly every transfer is a risk, so I can understand why we haven't splashed the cash.
If we can hold onto 3rd/4th place, and even if we don't get to the final, it will still be a successful season, considering all the setbacks we have had to deal with.

The voice of reason. Completely agree with you apart from your final sentence. We will finish third and get to the CL final, bring it on Messi.

I have stated nothing but facts.

Levy had never previously given 9 contracts in a single summer to our first team squad.

If you can tell me another summer in which he has I'll concede I'm wrong and he has in fact backed other managers equally.

Whether your right or wrong is irrelevant to my opinion , I believe offering new contracts to Pochettino , Kane , Son and Alli was what any chairman would do you are talking about three of the most marketable players on earth and one of the best managers who were all comparatively heavily underpaid , I believe Vertonghen simply had an option to extend by a year exercised so not a new contract per se but again a no brainer , winks big potential young player no brainer, Walker Peters meh Lamela meh ,

Why do you even bother, mate

Fortunately, I was talking about 9.

Levy should be credited for nailing down 9 members of our squad to new contracts.

I was making the point that Levy handing out blanket new contracts to half our squad was different.

You then picked out a single one of those to be sensational.

Here's a question, what is the most contracts handed out in one summer previously by Levy? If it approaches 9 I'll concede he's not treating Poch or this squad any different.
Ffs mate give over. All the players you mentioned bar Kane and to a lesser extent Dele, were on low wages, had no interest from so called bigger clubs and there was no chance any of them were going to reject a new deal.
Also signing up players to new contracts these days is more a fan pleasing exercise than ever before. The last three big players that have been sold by us, Walker, Bale and Modric had all 4 plus years on their deals when they left.
