horrible news about one of our clubs true legends

Everybody at the Club sends their best wishes to Dave Mackay, who is currently in hospital receiving treatment for a chest infection.

The 1961 double-winner was admitted to hospital in Nottingham on Saturday and we all wish Dave a speedy recovery.

i dont think any player who plays in midfield will ever be better than him at his prime and its a testament to his ability that whenever any great player plays for spurs in midfield they are always compared to the great man who i wish to have seen play

its funny because he said he always regretted doing that, but when you think of Mackay thats the first image that pops into your head and even people who dont support spurs or know anything about football know that image
 
suffered two broken legs and was released by the club in the justifiable belief he was done for, he ended up being a legend at Derby County for a couple more years. Legend.
