Ex-Spurs Player Davinson Sanchez

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He was also Ajax POTY that season and a highly regarded prospect.

Hahaha.... Strawman.

aka More BS.

Fair enough; but why lie?
The Dutch league is a farmers league. His performance in the 2017 Europa League final should have set alarm bells ringing in the club hierarchy that this fellow won’t make the step up. And that’s how it has transpired over the last 4 years.

Your opinion; but why lie?
There’s no lie.

Four and a half years on, apologies that you’re so upset that my powers of recall couldn’t remember precisely what stage we were at in signing Davinson Sanchez in May 2017.

I watch very little live football outside of Spurs. The only reason I sat down to watch that 2017 Europa League was to get a first look at him. Wasn’t impressed with what I first saw and very little to change my views since.

Oh there is.... I exposed it in my first post.

You're using embelishments and hindsight to make yourself look smarter, but you have been rumbled.

He had less than 50 games in Europe and the majority of them against complete shite. Went from 7 goals in one season at Ajax (against utter shite) to 3 goals in 4.5 seasons and only 1 in the fucking league. Even their Europa league run wasn't that difficult.

Offering a new deal after one season was completely ridiculous and it turned out to be easily his best season for Tottenham.

Sanchez is trash.

Why can't a professional footballer get clean contact on a clearance? Every contact be it via head or foot can go absolutely anywhere.

Truly a shambles on the part of our scouting team. He wouldn't be playing if Romero is fit so fingers crossed we don't have to put up with him much longer. Probably wont be binned until the summer though.

This mug wouldn't get in the Port Vale back line. I prefer Nathan Smith. Just doesn't seem to learn or improve any aspect of his game at all.

Even though I think Sanchez is complete toss, it's probably worth leaving him in the team while Romero is injured. This is the unit until January at least, so we may as well let them develop an understanding of how to play Conte's way. I'm really not looking forward to Vardy and Mane targetting him in the games coming soon though.

Did a lot better in the second half.....

Him & Japh made for a horrible combo though.

Just hope we can get our #1 WBs back for Liverpool.

He settled down as the 2nd half went on, but I thought he was horrendous in the first 20 minutes. Him and Tanganga were a nightmare combination down the right, which Norwich did target in my opinion.

He did decently well cleaning up a few messes Tanganga created for him.

But Romero is a much better player, and we saw in Davies on the other side today what's possible with a bold, marauding player on the outside of the three, I understand now why Romero hasn't been in the center like he was at Atalanta, Conte's shape is different.

Yeh, it's quite clear where Romero fits in this equation..... In fact the idea of him being called upon to be the disciplined deep sweeper is pretty scary.
