Ex-Spurs Player Davinson Sanchez

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Honest question, is that really worth much considering the different levels of competition?

Edit: I don't think it is, but if someone can explain why it is, i'm open to hearing them out.

Probably not. Different league and different quality.

But it shows there's something there. You could do that with alot of other centre backs in that league and won't get stats as promising.

Are you ok?

Your assertion Sanchez' stats are no impressive because he's doing it against shit opponents is just as true as suggesting he's doing with with shit team-mates so that might balance certain numbers out - that's all

I'm fine thanks. I'm not saying they aren't impressive, I'm saying it's absolutely no way to judge his ability. Like I said, if an academy player had similar stats, playing with, and against inferior players does that make him a starter in the Prem? No, because it's a different level.

I never argued the level is equal - but the quality of team-mates should also be taken into consideration when analysing the quality of opponents if looking at numbers

ArcspacE ArcspacE In All Played Out, John Barnes said International football was more difficult because he was up against better players, while Lineker said that was balanced out because he was playing with better players.

I thought that was an interesting take on different players' mindsets. And to be fair to you, Lineker's point reflects yours rather well.
