I know it's been discussed but I do wonder what Dier will think of this signing. The club obviously still values him greatly but with the big price tag Sanchez has it's very likely he takes the starting role at CB. Wanyama and Dembele are the best options at CM. Dier will obviously get time considering all the different competitions we are participating in as well as when the inevitable injury occurs. But there will still be a decreased amount of playing time.

If he's concerned about this signing just show him a breakdown of Man U and Man City's squad and its sheer size in numbers. Hopefully the penny will drop then

Dier is a total team player and nothing leads me to believe otherwise.

I'm not sure how many full seasons Dembele has left in him.....can see him and Dier getting lots of game time between them.
Also Dier and Sanchez can still rotate.

Versatility the key for us
