Thelonious said:nope, VdV hasn't scored against either Manchester club or Chelsea either.
Because I'm in a good mood today I won't call you a shit cunt for the JD character assassination.

We have been breaking records and stats all over the shop, they mean nothing anymore, the team mentality has changed, we are a better unit.
give him a go

I know mate, I take your point on that front.
Personally think we'd be much better off with a front three of Bale, vdV and Lennon, and an extra worker in midfield to give Silva something to think about.
Harry will play Defoe.
Defoe should only ever play alongside Adebayor IMO. Not against him playing vs Wolves - he has an excellent record against them.

Do they mean nothing? He is generally marshalled easily by the good sides.
dmarchantthfc said:he is easy to pick up, but he seems stronger and can hold the ball a bit better, iv always said he seemed better after he came back from a leg injury as he obviously works in the gym on his upper body, he comes back stronger.
id say with the players behind him always moving and working, let them pick him up, he doesnt necceserily have to touch the ball to make his inclusion worth it if that makes sense.
if we dont start him, i think we will lose him
Thelonious said:As a finisher, Defoe is insanely overrated. I'm always hearing about him being a natural finisher but he's absolutely fucking dogshit at 1 on 1s. The best finishers tend to gobble up those chances. He snatches at so many chances, very frustrating player to watch who won't start for a better team than us.
However, given our options up front, I wouldn't be averse to seeing him start next week.
