I have exact same feeling.
Richie being most realistic alternative now to directly deputizing Kane.
He could play with Son and Kulu on sides.
But playing one creator (Kulu) with one finisher (Son/Richie) does not seem to work on paper.
Although, if Kulu would be tasked to play like Kane does now and he would feed the balls to Son who would play on the shoulder of center-backs... then it even could potentially work.
We are missing him but we need to get over it. This spell without him will be a good challenge for Conte and the players to overcome, we should have a system of play that functions well no matter who is playing. If that means changing to 352 when Deki is out then so be it.
Hopefully that means 3-5-2 against Frankfurt.
I'm really pleased Conte has now seen and acknowledged his importance to the side. I think he is invaluable and his benching early was just wrong. Kane Son Richarlison they need to be rotation options Kulu has to be just behind Kane in importance to us.

Regarding richarlisin not sure where everyone gets the idea he is a goal scorer. His highest total in PL season I think is 13. So if people are looking at him as a goal scoring alternative to lane then could be misguided.

Much like Emerson before him, it will take an injury or a suspension for Conte to bench Kane in a meaningful game.
