Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

3rd highest apparently, behind Harry and Sonny.
Just checked. Tottenham Hotspur Stats, Premier League | FBref.com

Kulu lost the ball 103 times in 1641 minutes (ball given away around 5.6 times per match)
Son 98 in 2204 minutes (ball given away 4 times every game)
Richarlison 45 in 750 minutes. (ball given away 5.5 times per match)
Kane 113 times in 2688 minutes(3.8 per game)

Kane and Son have given more away because they have played more. But they are far better at keeping the ball.

Kulu is the worst offender in giving the ball away. And Rich almost the same.

Meh,

He is the most likely to dribble at people and attack defenders 1v1.

Creative midfielders have more passes intercepted than defensive midfielders because they attempt more dangerous passes.

Son doesn't run at defenders anymore, Kane is link up guy so usually gets the ball out of his feet and distributes it or shoots it.

It's shit comparison.

Good points!

In terms of running at defenders Kulu's success rate is 43% , Son 37 and Rich at 26%.

I think we are noticing Son being poor because of just how high his peaks have been. So when he is poor, its more obvious to us. The others havent been that much better (and worse in some ways) but we just dont expect that much from them. Still Richarlison with 0 PL goals so far isnt something that can be ignored that easily.

Are the rumors in Italy that you won't buy Kulusevski true?
Wasn't there an obligation to buy is we reached Champions League? Does that obligation only account for year 2 or was year 1 included. It must be very low risk that we don't buy him. I honestly can't see it happen. But he's been really bad this season compared to the last one. Who knows.

Def don't ignore it but don't over react to it either. Circumstances have been what they have been.

I watched Darwin the other day come on against a very tired Woolwich. He's scored more than Rich this year but I'd still take Richy every single day of the week.

If giving the ball away is what we are looking at, I saw some stat that show Kulu loses the ball more than anyone in the team. Might have to check.
Stats are false. Giving the ball away because you are being positive and unsettling your opponent is more acceptable than just playing a safe pass 10 yards. You can get someone off the street to do that.
People go on about stats far too much. I remember Modric would beat two players split the defence for Lennon to square and a striker taps it in. Lennon gets the assist and Modric who created it all would have less assists than someone like Lennon. Same with daft runners, players who know the game and know where to be will cover less ground in a game than a less clever player but the less clever player will have much higher numbers.

just 22 as well, he looks like a big old seasoned pro but he's still a youngester. Going to be inconsitant, look forward to seeing him playing in a team that plays attacking football
This is very true. He is a monster at this age. Under the right manager, right formation and right training regime where he will be sharper this guy will be a star for us for years to come. As for Sonny who’s been horrific this season might flourish again under another manager too. If we can fix our gk,defensive and creative issues and Kane stays then still have an awful lot of firepower. Getting two creative midfielders is massive for us.

...are we sure he hasn't crashed a car into someone's house yet....?

...just to make sure he's truly worthy of THE SHIRT, y'know!

What I will say, is that attackers do get tackled more than defenders. Even our defenders.

Attackers come up against players whose best trait is defending and tackling during a match, and the rest of the team don't.
I would prefer players who are a little more resistant to tackles and pressure, but I can live with a player who is tackled a lot Vs a player who literally cannot control a football and just gives it away. That's Son and the worst offender by miles is Moura.

Another no show but remember, its not Kulusevskis inability to beat a bournemouth defender, or his lack of pace, or the fact that he only has one foot, its the way Spurs play, the way Bournemouth play, the fact the Bournemouth defender didnt just let him go past, stellini, conte, the RB, the weather, the fact hes still only 22 and remember those 3 games last season when he did something!

2 goals and 6 assists this season in 23 games.
His stats for last season were better in fewer games.

Hard to tell how much is down to the complete sh*t show the team has been this season or his form/ability.
I think it's time for Danjuma / Richarlison to start ahead of him based on his recent form.
