Yeah he was too easy to work out on the wing with his play, obviously not helped by the fact he’s got very little pace.Hes strong as well which makes it easier for him to pick the ball up and hold players off.

Not all of them came off but he was trying some lovely flicks around the box,the sign of a player full of confidence.
to be fair to him, his confidence has never waned, hes always played like hes confident even when hes been poor for long spells lol. yea the inverted FB did him no favours at all as his main strength out wide is cutting in, he needs an overlap to help him free up space and give him that option too.

hes quite a battle hardened midfielder really, he will get stuck in and have a go. probably been our best player this year so far.

Absolutely incredible performance. Was just on it. Long may it continue

I’m going to reply to you, but I could reply to several, it’s just I know you’re at least capable of sensible debate.

You guys really should avoid the “incredible” stuff. It’s what creates some of the ridicule amongst us.

He’s was very good today, but incredible would be if he could make that his baseline, rather than the meh we’ve seen for the last couple of years including most of the games this season.

Why can't you just admit it when you are wrong?

In fairness, I didn't say he was incredible, I said he was incredible today primarily because his baseline has been so meh for a while.

Some of his passing like the 1-2 with maddison in the first half and his through balls to both Werner and Johnson were sublime.

Yeah his work rate is off the scale, the only real criticism you could say is his shooting,he’s definitely capable of scoring a lot of goals in this set up.

Yep, I was annoyed when he passed the ball to BJ. He was slightly off tilt to hit a shot with his left foot but he had a better opp than BJ to score IMO.
It's great to be discussing loads of chances missed for a change!

He skied a couple today which is frustrating, but at the same time it’s the sign of a player willing to have a go instead of passing the baton and letting someone else shoot.I really liked to see that.

With those stats he’s produced today,if that was a City,Liverpool or scum player certain media outlets would be knocking one off about it.

You had to go and spoil yourself didn't you, Blakey?

:ange-facepalm:

Ah, it was fun while it lasted.

Too good to be true anyway, so now we're back to reality. :ange-snarl:
