Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't listen to no one because I know the truth and I see the truth from my side. It is not important what people say. It has never been, actually. - Dejan Kulusevski, Jan 2025.

Next time just tell the fans (who pay your wages) to fuck off directly. But we know you love slowing shit down.

Cunt. Go sort your skin out.

Jay, how have you managed to take that comment from Kulusevski personally?

Impressive but how?

A couple very good wins have been achieved this season. Those teams were arguably either in very poor temporary form (man city), or with a reputation far bigger than their actual talent (man utd).

Ange has a interesting tactics that don't always work. He doesn't have the squad to make it always work, and the work he's done with the squad he has, has been handled poorly, which has made it harder to make his interesting tactics work.

He's not the first manager to want to play geigenpress football in the premier league. Generally the only teams that have been able to pull this off have had comparable or better outlay than their rivals on transfer and wages. Spurs have never shown a willingness to compete with sort of ambition. A better question for all is if Spurs are capable of winning with it as a club strategy. As it stands right now we are 15th in the table, and possibly could be 16th by the time of our next premier league match which takes place in February. That is incontrovertible.

I don't really read too much into what Kulu says here- he's obviously a club man and is going to always say these things. That's good and we want that- this man really never will say die whereas perhaps Maddison has.

Ange's system with underlapping fullbacks is a poor fit for a club with mainly inside cutting wingers. Only Odobert and Moore are creative wingers. Odobert is injured and Moore is 17(18?). Werner and Johnson are counter attacking forwards. Kulusevski is a CAM that has been played as an Italian 3-4-3 RF his whole career- that's why his instincts at the 10 are flawed right now.

It's disappointing to see folks still ignorantly bagging on this player. Simply being available to play consistently for Spurs is somewhat of an incredible feat. Glad he is getting a rest today.

He is a tough hombre

Richy, I'll copy your post from the MM thread to here.

Let me ask you a genuine question.

Have you ever seen a Kulusevski match highlight reel as good as that? (And I'm not getting carried away with Moore either, I don't think it was the most spunktastic highlight reel ever and it was against a shit team) just several times there he actually dribbles clean past/round people vertically - not sideways - creates things and gets into scoring positions and scores to cap it all off. He also doesn't just keep spaffinging the ball away trying stupid/wrong moves. And he's 17 - not a 24yo international - having his fist few hundred minutes of senior football.

How the fuck do guys get so excited by Kulusevski when a 17yo kid from Enfield can do better already. Even the kid who came on looked livelier and harder to handle than Kulusevki, making similar - cut in - type moves - but with actual zip and directness.

Kulusevski highlights from the 4-0 away win at City were better than that.

But in terms of what you are getting at with running at people, Mikey has already shown that he’s probably our most dangerous 1v1 player. Although Son was also really on it against Elfsborg

but don't be ridiculous.

I've a twisted agenda, that's my job.

How has no-one managed to tell him to just play the simple and quick passes more often? It's like he has some personal challenge of seeing how much of a game he can spend shielding the ball.

One of the best playmakers in Europe do me a fucking favour. Good player when he actually has a good game. Unreliable below average levels with a few outstanding games thrown in.

Early in the game he got the ball surrounded by 5 players. On the RW made his way towards goal fending off players...nobody in the fucking box. He still managed to get a corner.
Tonight the best team won.
Our best player did not affect the outcome. In many games this season he will help us win.
