Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Since you have been quoting random posters from another forum i take that is what you are basing your opinion on. Maybe you should actually watch him play and base your opinion on that?

No signing is a guaranteed success but Kulu is a very intelligent player with great dribbling and passing abilities. Seems like Conte agrees too. You think he and spurs are making the decision just based what he did two years ago?

I have watched him play. Probably more than you have. I just also thought it was a good idea to show what fans of the team who he actually plays for think of him.

Also, our scouting team is terrible and seemingly has no real strategy. When was our last successful signing?

'Incredible player'

People are in full on cope mode with these signings. Fair enough be optimistic and hope for the best now that he looks likely to join, but let's not pretend he's been anything but massively underwhelming for 2 years now. We're signing him on the back of one breakout season in Italy.

I'm totally in the "fingers crossed" camp, but surely at his age 18 G&As accross two seasons in a misfiring team at his age is cause for for encouragement? ....Doesn't exactly suggest he's part of the problem given the position he plays.

Is he incredibly wasteful? ....Lazy?

What's the shit side of his games that's got you so down about him?

He's got 10 g/a in two league seasons which is pretty damn mediocre. He's definitely been part of their problem going forward, he's slow, very poor against pressure (he's the most dispossessed Juve player this season, and also commits the most fouls because he gets angry when he loses it .. again) and generally just not a particularly dynamic wide player.

He is technically good as in he can pick a pass/cross. But to me he lacks many of the assets which make a player good in the PL. I don't see how a player who looks slow for Serie A and is poor when pressurised will thrive here. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe he will re-discover that one good season he had, and maybe Conte has a role for him. But it screams to me like Paratici still rating him from the first time he signed him, and not going off what he's actually turned out to be..

I've literally just watched a video (above) with 18 G&A in it.

We'll see, innit.

All his goals and assists for Juventus, nice bonus is the video's only just shy of 4 mins long.

He looks pretty decent if you ask me. Sweeeet left foot

He loves a strike on his left from the right hand side of the box. He’s perfected that stroking of the ball I to the far corner. Dare I say, it’s Robben-esque.

My favourite thing in that video is how often he strikes it first time. That assist for goal number 6 is amazing and there’s a few others like that. It’s such a basic point but being able to play first time makes a huge difference in the final third.

Hey mate,

I want to give some context to your stats. When I was doing my coaching badges with the London FA a decade ago, I remember the head coach explaining that the area of the pitch with the highest turnover is around the edge of the box.

Wingers who cut inside are the most likely to be dispossessed because they are moving from areas of space to areas that are tightly defended. Defending 101 is to protect the goal after all.

The most dispossessed player in the PL? Zaha.
Second in EPL? Allen St Maximim.
The most dispossessed player at Liverpool? Salah.
Second at Liverpool? Mané.
Most at City? Sterling.
Most at spurs? Kane.

Being dispossessed a lot is not an indicator of low quality but just a feature of playing in a high risk- high reward area of the pitch.

I think this probably puts paid to the argument that he commits fouls because he gets angry.

I don’t know if he’s slow but you can see from the footage that he thinks and plays the ball quickly. He’s the closest thing to an Eriksen replacement we’ve had for a few years.

Let’s give him a chance!
