Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Where has this view that we need pace come from?

We have a bit of pace in the side. What we’re lacking is someone with technique and creativity. Both new signings address that but particularly Kulusevski. The most important type of pace is quick thinking and the technical ability to then execute.

No they don't. They don't address it at all.

I think the pace thing comes from people seeing slow players not be able to adapt to the PL very well. Personally I would care more about speed of thought than actual foot speed but not sure Kulusevski shows much of either in his highlights, perhaps it comes through better in the games.

I expect him to be average and will be surprised if he's anything else.
The good news is, if this is true, or if he proves to just be not PL material for whatever reason, he's off back to Juve and we go again. We have all the upside and Juve has all the risk.

The exact terms remain a tad unclear, but it seems clear enough that he needs to come good for us to be on the hook for the fee. Making total bollocks of the notion Paratici is doing Juve a favor here. Paratici believes in the wonderteen he once signed. We'll see.

Does he have to perform or does the team have to perform?

I thought it was us finishing in a CL spot which can do without him playing well.

I think if Paratici wasn't doing Juve a favor there is no chance the obligation price would be so high. No need to overpay that amount.

that you disagree is a good sign. He will probably become one of our best players but of course, you will never understand it. Pick a different sport mate.

I think the list of players who are not quick but who have adapted is long. We just got schooled by Kovacic and Jorginho CM and neither of those are quick. What they do have us speed of thought and the technique to execute.

Look at the Kulusevski’s assists. The amount of times he plays first time is impressive. You can’t do that without technique and game intelligence.

The same people screaming for more pace are the same posters who seem to support Kane more than Spurs. Doesn't really make sense but I guess pace is only important for other players than HK. They will never recognize a good player. Their football IQ is just too low. They just pour hate on any player making a threat to Kane's position as Spurs No.1 (which he isn't).
I'm not sure they even support this team.

In the highlights I have seen he looks good the less time he has on the ball. When he moves the ball quick it seems to work out better than when he has time to think and has to figure things out. Maybe it shows that he has quick thought to make those passes but I got a very Dele-esque vibe from his highlight videos which concerns me. Maybe I am putting too much of that on him.

We'll see I guess I am hoping he can move inside to more of a MF role in a 3-5-2 so his foot speed is not a concern for me.

LOL

Are you seriously saying that Kulusevski is a threat to Kane as Spurs no. 1?

I mean you have posted some absolute garbage in here but that might be the best one yet!

46 years old and what you know about anything you could squeeze through the hole of a Polo mint.

He's literally the most clueless poster on this forum. I mean I give NDomBadBoy a hard time but at least outside of Kane he talks sense now and again. This numpty doesn't know which end of a dart to throw.
