He's a nightmare for FBs...... Just a different skillset to what they're used to.

Just need to re-find his killer instinct as far as end product is concerned.
Needs to be locked in a room with a Robben highlight reel.

He's got it in him, but for some reason he's hesitating, especially refusing to shoot from some VERY good positions once he cuts in.

Really good second half.

I think it’s really clear when he’s at his best - in transition, defenders having to scramble backwards and he turns them inside out.

Think he’s holding on to the ball a touch too long, so maybe trying too hard to force things.

I’d almost say his best quality for us right now is his hold up play. He’s always an outlet no matter where we are on the field. His ability to use his body against defenders is top class. I feel like his final decisions have been a bit mixed lately. A bit too predictable cutting back in but doesn’t create enough space going on his weaker side lately.

When he starts to fizz we will know. Needs a goal or three to probably complete the confidence picture.

If he, Son, Rucharlison and Danjuma, as well of course Moura can deliver firepower, then we can have a strong 3 months.

We need them all to contribute.

Yeah much better today. He is so good as the out ball for the defenders too to relieve pressure. He can take it while being closed down, run with the ball and progress it up the pitch. We missed this side of his game so much while he was out. I reckon he'll be back in the goals too soon, he was out a long while with injury etc and probably just needs games.

Teams have scouted him now, he isn’t an unknown quantity any more. He has the attitude to work out a new set of tricks though.

If our coaches could set him up with some through-ball drills; it could go a long way in diversifying his game to see him cutting in early and playing the striker in.

He's strong enough to create major havoc from central areas but need to work on the speed of thought and seeing the pass a bit more (easier said than done, I know).

Isn't just Kulu. Teams have figured out how to better stop our front 3 and a lot of it just has to do with how physical they are with our players and not giving them the light of day.

Outside of set pieces and corners, we don't have a reliable way of scoring.
We have only have a few talented offensive players on the pitch at any given time. The obvious plan is to mark those players out of the game and dare our midfield and wingbacks to do something. The CBs for the most part are just passengers, especially when we set up in the oppo final third.

So much creative pressure is put on Kane and Kulu in this formation, with these players, and with this coaching- I don't blame either Kane or Kulu that they don't pull a rabbit out of a hat every game.

Our midfield (PEH, Bentancur, Skipp, etc) have actually has stepped on the attacking end quite a bit this season but every time they do, it seems like a fluke or just accidental. We need to address our lack of creativity in the next window. It's crazy we still don't have a true Eriksen replacement.

Depends on the formation.

In this formation, what we really need to do is purchase a true creative LW/LF who can do the things Kulu can at RW/RF- create, vision, pass, through balls, crosses, curled shots, etc. We keep buying runners who don't know how to create for others at a level sufficient to win games, but expect the formula to change somehow. This repeated stumbling block indicates we don't have management able to grasp this concept properly.

If we switch formation to 5-3-2 or 4-2-3-1 though, a 10 would indeed be a good purchase.

That LW/LF used to be Son until Perisic came in and took over his role out on the left

Son's our leading assist man over the last 4 seasons and his role just completely diminished since Perisic has come on - I don't think he's scored or assisted with Perisic playing LWB this season
