Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What are oppostion teams doing different from last season? I don't see that they're using any kind of special tactics to stop him. He's still getting plenty of space on the right and getting 1v1 against their defenders just outside the box.
What do you think defensive coaching teams do? They identify a threat and then plan how to reduce it. Yesterday Lemina was given the task of not straying more than 5m from Kane.
Same with Kulusevski as explained in earlier post.

Obviously on a poor run of form after an injury-disrupted season, but the lad's only 22yo with 7 goals and 13 assists in 30 starts. G/A return of 0.66 are not horrible numbers, despite his being way off the boil of late.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play centrally as a 10 (his self-professed favourite position) under a different manager, where he can pick a pass and navigate the game at a different pace.
Looking at how ALL of our wingers are struggling this year.... I can say that Conte's system just doesn't work with us.

Stopping him cutting inside.

They show him the outside, he has to use his right foot and produces one of two things, a high floated cross with no pace or a driven cross with little accuracy.

I think his injury coupled with the lack of cohesion and consistency in the team this season is the result of his poor form.

Not having his best season but then who is? You have to concede that a lot of his assists last year had Son's ridiculous finishing at the end. But it wasn't just the assists I like, he seemed a really intelligent footballer likely to make something happen.

He's had an injury hit year playing in a shit team with a dinosaur manager. He will come back and we should make his move permanent

I'm resting my hope on the fact he is
a) pretty football intelligent and
b) unselfish with a good range of passing

I suspect his injury has knocked him off his trajectory and also probably finding his output reduced by lowered team performances over last season. IE, he might have more assists if our players didn't give the ball away all the time, or dribble into dead ends.

Don't know what's going on with this fella at the moment but we desperately need him to find his quality again. With him and Son both out of form we just can't get anything going at all.

He is playing the role Son should be playing and Son is playing the role he should be playing.

Meh Essexyido94 Essexyido94 ...none of them were great tonight.....

We're a shambles from 9 months ago....
Kulu, Son, Kane were ripping it up... Wtf happened?
