Not tagging anyone but those of you that want to reply be honest, how many of you genuinely don't rate this player? and how many are just in it for the trolls?

Genuinely as a winger don't rate him. Has one trick and been figured out.

As a progressive CM/CAM I think he could be very Dembele esque. Pretty quick good dribbler strong as fuck.

Very much want to see him moved there whilst Maddison is out and stay there after

Such a damn good player, runs his bollocks off, pressed like a maniac today. Hope we play him and Maddison together centrally against some bus parking relegation fodder later this season.

Defo his best position for us, with his pace on the break in this area its amazing.

He is so frustrating on the right, does very good going forward but then does his one trick pony style cutting in on his left foot, we lose advantage he cant cross or pass accurately into the box , we lose momentum , advantage and goal scoring opportunity we had.

Rather try him on the left than the right, where he can cross with his left and take on his man to the bye line

In an interview shortly after he joined Spurs he said he always felt his best position was as a no 10 in the centre, but he'd played most of his matches as a RW throughout his career.

He's also said he has played on the left, but some years ago.

I think we are lucky to have a versatile player who can fill in at multiple positions - particularly when Bissouma and Sarr are going off to Afcon on top of Maddison being out injured we know we have someone who can play as one of 3 CM's (3 from Kulusevski, Lo Celso, Hojbjerg and Skipp) and feel we have an adequate (or better) midfield who can stand comparison with most opposition.

In europe next year, we will need to have 2 or more players capable of playing all positions, so Kulusevski will be one of those capable of playing two or more positions, which is ideal.

There were a few times yesterday where he drifted over to the left, and I half expected a brilliant left footed cross.
But even that was fairly poor.

He is, as many of us suspected, just better in the middle.
He could probably do a job as a target man in all honesty. He can control and hold a ball to a decent level, allowing others to come into play,

We missed left side build up massively with Maddison out. He was excellent in that role for us.

Kulusevski yesterday was the closest we'd seen since Maddison was out. As good as Lo Celso has been.

Maddison has played off the right at Leicester- perhaps we should think about switching it up a bit when he's back, though given his form through the middle might be hard to justify

With Ange's system we play positional play so no-one really has a set position in attack, only defence.

The good thing about players playing in multiple positions is that they can rotate positions, I can actually see a world where Maddison and Kulu play in the same team and interchange.

Oh for fuckkkk sake.

Watched that video, and he could have easily had FOUR assists in that game.
His xA for the game was 0.98 , but ended up with 0... pretty criminal in some sense.

Whole season xA is 4,12 but we all know our finishing of chances has not been as good as it should and thus he sits on 1 assist...

But talking about rating or not rating him - to some extent I understand the critics. Kulu is not quite Ange RW material. His 1-on-1 play is not as sharp as it should and he takes too many touches/time. I remember watching Liverpool game in a pub with my mates who are Spurs fans. I told them as well- Pool was camped deep and I said to them - look, as soon as Kulu touches the ball, our attack dies. For dying seconds I even managed to say "OH ITS PORRO NOW, SOMETHING MIGHT... " and it was 2:1 and game won.

Kulu is brilliant player. Good touch, super intelligent, strong body, covers lot of ground, good passing as well. But he is not Angeball winger. Luckly now when Richie is back and we have actual ST, he does not need to. He has to stay central. Has had two good games centally, sandwitched by very ineffective game on RW against Wet Spam.

Surely something that can be tried in right circumstances!

I mean Madders is more versatile and more tricky. He can do what he did against Saka in NLD. Or what Son did to Trippier twice yesterday. Kulu does not have quite that in his locker. And based on current season, Madders shooting is bit sharper as well.

So ... good shout I'd say.
Specially with Kulu in middle being able to find Madders early in even more space...
