The amount of crowing over how people were apparently right about him being brilliant centrally was nauseating.

We're also just better when someone takes Brennan Johnson's place, tbh.
I don’t think double CAM is a good formation for us against most Prem teams, generally. We really ought to use it if needed to break down stubborn bus parkers.

For me best formation is either him or Maddison at 10, and I rate Maddison a slightly better classic 10 right now than Kulu. Kulu needs to be in the side one way or another right now, be it RW or 10.

4 goals in 4 games… Can’t fuck with that.

Yeah.

BC has covered this a lot brilliantly - Maddison is better at basically everything you want from a midfielder lol. Does more in almost every category apart from one or two metrics.

Kulu has played a good part of the season in an advanced/forward position and Madders still has more goals, more assists and in 200+ less minutes. That little dink vs City, the worldie free kick, the spins and genuine defence splitting passes he can do .. Maddison is inconsistent but a better baller by a distance than Kulu.

If we had more footballers like Madders we would not be mid-table mediocrity.

Nah don't agree, Maddison blows too hot and cold, when he's on it he's one of the best in the league but when he's off it he stinks...that Bournemouth performance wasn't long ago but this never comes up in BC's 'stats'

He may be a better baller but give me consistency everyday

Kulusevski has dropped plenty of stinkers this season as well, he's just a fan favourite atm so when he does people really quickly forget it whereas Maddison was a big money signing who is a bit of a flashy fucker so is expected to ball out every single week.

If Kulu had the same numbers/some of the performances Maddison has put up, our fans would be putting him forward for the Ballon d'or right now.

Maddison is 28 and our 2nd highest paid player and a vice captain, of course the expectations are different, you can't have him dropping 2/10 stinkers and expect people to look past it whilst Kulu is naturally a winger who is just more consistent and actually does better job of turning up playing either role

Anyway I don't want to turn this into a Madders hate thread because it's tedious, Kulu is the truth and my shout for Swedish Marradona is looking good :kulushock:

For those of you saying Kulusevski is better off the wing, do you really think he’s playing as a traditional winger?

Where was he when he scored most of the last 4 goals he’s got in 4 games?
I’ll give a clue, it wasn’t on the wing for most of them.

Kulusevski is a #10, always has been, always will be. Even when he starts wide, he’s taking up #10 positions centrally. Maddison is a #10 as well really but he’s better at playing #8 than Kulusevski. I still think there are opponents where we can play them both but 9/10 I think we have better balance with Sarr and Maddison at 8 and Kulusevski playing 10 off the wing.

Maddison is a very streaky player. Less physical robustness than Kulu. Seems to have trouble staying as healthy and playing as many minutes. Being able to play most of the time is a pretty special talent for us, let's not kid ourselves...

Good to see bus-conductor bus-conductor and Deuterz Deuterz confect reasons why they were in fact correct about Deki, rather than miserably wrong, is an interesting development to say the least.

Most people tend to try and concoct stories about themselves that cast themselves as the protagonist in their lives- it helps stave off suicidal thoughts.

For midfielders sure, Deki is more of a Forward, plays in super-advanced positions and is bossing it right now.

I think it is safe to say that if all 3 of them continue in their current form we are going to have a decent period of the season coming up.

I can see everything flipping again and reflecting the current topsy turvy nature of the season vs Forest and Liverpool but I hope you're right mate.

Some of the upcoming fixtures are not easy. We basically only have Wolves at home as an expected 'banker'.

I think everyone can see that happening. Liverpool are the best team in the prem right now so I'm not expecting a great deal against them. Forest I am unsure - they definitely have weaknesses we can exploit - they have conceded a lot of goals recently and whilst still in decent form, it could go either way.
