It is a bit ridiculous tbh. Kulu and someone from the medical department should be sitting down with club tv and telling us what the injury is, and what the future is for Kulu.

Being kept in the dark for year over an injury that we were told was a knock is getting a bit silly. Especially when he’s talking about going away to world cups and is going away for trips with the national team.

I mean we have been told. It was described as "a knock" because at the time that's what it looked like. Unfortunately it was a knock that caused underlying damage to the cartilage of the patella - a very rare but extremely serious injury. Also hard to diagnose. and hard to recover from.

There is no "mystery". Just incredible bad luck.

I feel like Tottenham should know a thing or two about cartilage injuries of the patella.

Nuno Santos missed 460 days with a Patela injury and just came back last month. It's about the most complex injury a footballer can get. And as another poster said, it was only thought to be a knock until the scans revealed significant damage.

That one is just horrid luck.

I think he's straight deluded about the World Cup thing, or is just putting on a brave face. When your career is going to shit sometimes you have to lie to yourself to stay sane and I think that's what Kulu's doing: all this talk of coming back a much stronger player, never giving up on the World Cup spot, etc.

And visiting the international team for a crucial camp before the playoffs when he's their captain strikes me as completely normal and good for both his morale and to support his countrymen.

I don’t have a problem with it, what I don’t like is that he’s never once sat down and spoken to the Spurs fans about it. It’s all been Chinese whispers about what his injury is. I understand it’s a complex one, but would it be so hard to just sit down and tell us that. Say what the injury is, talk us through the surgeries and rehab he’s been going through. How it was initially thought to be just a knock and how they discovered it was far more serious. Give us a rough timeline on when he’s looking to be back, and if he can’t do that, tell us just that, that he simply doesn’t know.

We’ve been totally left in the dark regarding this ever since we were told it was a knock. All I’m asking for is a bit of clarity on the situation.

Kulusevski was an excellent player, I don’t know if he will return to professional competition or not, I suspect not with Tottenham, unless at EFL level to regain something from his career.

What is not being said, and is out of order, is that the club would have known the reality of this injury by June / July last year but again did fuck all to replace him, and continued to lie to the fans about the extent of the injury and the likely return date.

Justifying Lange’s ineptitude while keeping the money just where they wanted it. They really are filthy cunts in that boardroom.

Yep agree with this.

Firstly it's really hard on Kulusevski as a professional footballer, not forgetting he has a better life than most in the fullness of consideration.

That aside however and specifically in regards to us, the sheer ineptitude of Lange and the CEO are simply staggering.

This season will either provide a turning point towards something that relates to a functioning and forwar- thinking football club or sees a continuation of the ineptitude which could lead us falling further and further dow n the league. It is entirely possible if no full-stop is applied to the path of disintegration.

In many jobs you see people who appear calm, considered, and methodical. Other times you see people who are manic, constant and seemingly on top of everything. Both types can often be complete illusions of efficiency.

We have 2 at the same time, which is why we are where we are.

I wonder how Bergvall would feel if he was he lose the chance to play at the World Cup to someone who hasn't played in a year and still seemingly hasn't got over his injury, but is throwing down the begging bowl to get picked.

Is he back in training yet?

He's on the grass

TBF, he did post a photo of him in the middle of the surgery. So he hasn't been that coy.

Eh? They signed kudus? Signed Simons. I’m all for blaming the club but it was reported from him that he expected to be back November time…

For context, we had kudus and Johnson plus tel and odobert. So 4 wingers then with Kulu expected back Nov dec it would have been overkill to make another big winger signing. Yeah 2 of them are younger but the plan was to clearly start Johnson lw kudus rw.

They said it was a patella fracture which is a very unusual and complex injury. It’s very hard to quantify when hell return because with this injury it’s really not know as there are too many variables.

You can do your own research you know… Neto for context had the same injury and missed 9 months I believe.

Wasn't a very good plan then because they went and sold Johnson in January.
