Yeah agreed. Incredibly sad. He’s done unfortunately. We need to plan now as if he isn’t coming back and just treat it as a bonus if he ever does.
From a nastily cynical point of view, we are much better off if he's forced to retire and we collect a bumper insurance payout, compared to if he comes back but is nowhere close to Premier League level. But either way I feel so sorry for the bloke. One bad tackle and it can all be over in an instant.
What about playing for us though?I don't think he's going to play at the highest level ever again.
One last parting gift from Ange, potentially ending the career of our best attacking player. Frank was awful here and never helped himself with his terrible interviews, but I didn't dislike him as a person. I actively dislike that fat fucking charlatan and the lasting damage he did to this club.
Did Ange kick him in the knee or something? One last parting gift from Ange, potentially ending the career of our best attacking player. The Swedish physio's interview does make it sound like they don't expect him to play again, at least not at the level he was at pre-injury. This unfortunately feels like a situation where we keep him under contract out of loyalty, and he'll retire once the deal is up. Maybe he'll eventually recover enough to play at a lower level.
I would think that the medic from the Sweden national team, who he's closely working with, and says he's in constant dialogue with, is very much an authoritive update. And the clearest update we've had since he's been injured, quite frankly.Zero point in discussing Kulusevski further without any authoritative update - we might get some indication from the club when the squad to go on preseason is announced (likely late June/early July), but no reason to expect anything before then unless its good news such as him training with first team (we wish .... but sounds unlikely)
Can’t even remember what game it was now?
He's the first manager in history to play a player when they have a slight knock, apparently. Also told the medical staff that told him he absolutely can't play, to go fuck themselves, and beat them with a 6er of Foster's.
