Not sure why this guy gets a pass as frequently as he does. He’s been below average for a significantly longer period than his high flying start.
He gets on my last nerve with the way he handles the football, trying to carry it past 2 defenders as the last man back on his side. So many chances come from his lack of awareness and unwillingness to release the ball.

We haven’t really got aback up for him as I think he needs a break. Davies or Spence aren’t good enough so he’s having to get flogged when he needs a rest.

He had a great start last season but the drop off in defensive awareness and solidity as well as the effectiveness of his runs forward has been alarming. Don’t know if it’s injury, mentality (no competition?) or tactical instructions from Ange, but he really needs to get his act together.
Really struggling but it's no surprise. Ridiculous to give a 20 year old LB zero competition. I have high hopes that he will be a top player in 2-3 years but he's not there yet.
We should have binned Davies and signed a more experienced attacking LB to compete.
Now we will have to shoehorn in Spence, Gray or VDV out of position to cover for his dip.

He's very low on confidence with his 1 v 1 defending. Needs to get tighter and back himself in the tackle.

I'm struggling to understand what he's offering lately, last season I felt he was a bit overrated and once the whole inverted full-back thing stopped working as well I'm not sure what he's providing other than a couple of build-ups in attacks. Is it enough?
