As things stand, there is zero chance that ManU has better overall squad than Spurs.
You are seemingly very willing to shit on every single individual player and claim that "we have defenders that can't defend" and whatnot. While FULLY disgarding the fact that we have three defensive players on the field. Two CBs and #6. Teams hit us on the counter cause our fullbacks are as high as strikers and we are almost always outnumbered in midfield.
Give literally any other shape to the side, and everything changes.
I am not saying we will win the league with this exact crop of players. But to claim that we would never be able to finish above Aston Villa or Man United is total bullshit.

Davies I hope can be substituted for Vuskovic from next season. But I did not want to include player who never has set foot in EPL into those lineups.
It is just basic logic that we cannot start likes of Johnson into our strongest XI and then expect results. Team as a whole suffers. It is just basic logic that you cannot keep players like Udogie in middle of opposition half while he gives absolutely nothing at all to our attack (2020 minutes, 1 goal involvement!). Plus we have talents such as Gray, Bergvall, Odobert, Moore, Yang, Scarlett all coming through, and can play themselves into the mix very possibly. And Vusokovic, Phillips, Donley returning as well.

I think you are probably right in many senses , it does feel like we are a million miles away from competing seriously at the top end of the league

We need to start signing better players. We seem to have regressed to where we were 15 years ago, where the players we are signing arnt any better than the ones going out the door. It’s a conveyer belt of shite

Forest finished last season on 32 points , I’m pretty sure their fans would have been having similar conversations . I’m almost certain we won’t have European football next season and we will buy a couple of players , if we can get the number 6 right and our 2 wide forwards upgraded then we could have a go at top 6 again for sure .

According to this, statistically he's one of the best FBs in the PL. Which is impressive considering he's struggle for form and consistency off the back of a major operation and subsequent hamstring injury.
I'm holding the line that Udogie is a unicorn talent at FB who is still very young for a defender and will eventually grow into one of, if not the best LB in the world.

He’s a wing back asked to play fullback. I don’t think he’s good enough defensively and that’s not his fault. Needs to play further forward. He’s a good footballer, just needs to be found the correct position for him.

I don’t really this wing back playing Fb thing. Hes played more senior minutes at FB than he has WB. Hes not really the type to go wide and whip in crosses. His strengths are 1v1 defensively, ball carrying and close control in tight central areas and an unbelievable engine. Incredible recovery pace.
His weaknesses right now are concentration and positioning defensively. Those will improve with age but his strengths perfectly fit the way he’s asked to play and his weaknesses would get exposed even more in a team that had less possession and wanted to play wing back on the counter
