Last night was Assou-Ekotto summed up to pefection. Their first goal was his fault entirely, why he felt the need to stand behind Vertonghen then move even further central, leaving his flank completely open is beyond me but to then not even race back into the area is lazy and stupid.
Then he goes ahead and has a couple of nice touches.
Then he hoofs the ball aimlessly.
Then he doesn't jump for the ball but does give away a foul.
Then he shrugs.

He's starting to strike me as the perfect redknapp player. As in someone that Is at their best when the manager feeds their ego and doesn't get bogged down in detailed tactics.
You just feel that he can't really be bothered with AVB's style of management. Which is a shame because he is a great footballer.
