Yeh deluded rubbish based on a few minutes in pre-season. You’re quite good at talking utter bollocks based on that. Keep up the good work.
You think that we played a pre-season game in the 24th of August? Hilarious and very on brand for your intellect. Wipe the drool from your keyboard and type an apology for the shit you post.

Some laughably deluded nonsense in here about this guy.

He has zero future at this club.
Not sure I buy that, he's a capable right fullback option. The way we play Porro and Udogie on the others side need an understudy not sure where we will find a better one homegrown happy to compete. Think you have gone oddly early here... I can not see Porro playing everyone of the 50 odd games we have coming so you must have some info we don't because he's nailed on to get mins.

Irrelevant as usual, the point is he’s crap and people like you started bigging him up based on fuck all. Which is what clowns like you do with many of our players.
He’ll never make it here, and has done fuck all in 2 years so getting excited over what you called a cameo at LB is laughably daft.

Not my problem if you get touchy when your nonsense gets ridiculed.

2 years he’s been here. Is that early? I haven’t seen any sign whatsoever he can make it at this level.

The odd “cameo” doesn’t carry much weight with me even if others start creaming themselves.

I dont think this is about ability. You're probably right and i'm sure he'll be gone in the next 12 months. Its a numbers game. He can cover right or left back to a certain level and probably fine in 4 or 5 of the games at least. Forster is pretty terrible and has been mentioned if there is so little faith in Austin (understandably as he looks bang average) then why give him a 5 year contract. Some very odd decisions happening at the club at the moment.

Ah ...Your doing that 'rate' don't thing that our fanbase loves. I misunderstood the context. You can of course rate or not players as you see fit. I thought you were stating he had no future at club, as to mean he will not play first team games. He will play first team games this season. Beyond what happens next week within any context is in the lap of the God's, or Harry Seldon.

You have certainly gone early on deciding what the future holds. I'll be honest I have massive doubts anyone within the club knows what we will look like within as short a time frame as 18 months. Two years in the development of a footballer isnt that long, there's a few players we could cite as examples. Maybe I'm just down on us, but I feel like no one is driving our ship. I'd not be shocked if Ange was gone in the early new year.

That is surprising as it appeared he’d worked his way back into Ange’s plans the way he was talked about during preseason.

I wonder if he’s slipped back into his old ways?

I don't think so, he's had PL minutes and been in all the squads so far.

We simply had to make a choice between Spence and Forster, and clearly Ange thought that the bigger risk would be to leave out our experienced reserve keeper. Perfectly defensible stance to take. Porro and Gray can play RB and a player like Deki or Dragusin could do a job there against a bottom feeder if needed. The only other option in goal is Austin who has not played a competitive match since 2021 and has 5 MLS and 14 Danish league appearances to his name.

Just another example of our dreadful squad building since 2019 where we have hoarded mediocre foreign players and neglected our own academy and the signing of home grown talent.

In the overall picture we are not looking at GKs to bring us success.
If the plan is working then our GKs should be almost superflous. I exaggerate.
More info in the next few days.

For me Spence was the easy choice to make.

The guy could have basically played 90 mins in every group stage game providing valuable rest for Porro/Udogie.

Forster will likely not play a minute unless it's a dead rubber and we have top 8 secured with a couple of games to go (in which case why not just play Austin or another kid?)

Exactly what is going on at the club and the thinking behind these decisions?

It's also worth adding that Forster is a very popular character in the dressing room, and that may have played a part in Ange deciding to name him in the squad. You'd hope that dressing room politics don't come into squad selection, but sometimes they do.
