im having him over udogie right now. thought we looked better over on that left side when he came on. hes a fair bit quicker than udogie too. udogie so one dimensional in his game, spence can do what he does and more. also think hes a bit taller too and probably better in the air which helps with set pieces.

He's done enough every time he's come on to convince me. Cutting Djed from Europa squad was a dubious call but someone has to make the tough calls and I'm glad it's not me. IMO Djed can now start PL games whenever Pedro and Destiny need resting.

Maybe he’s become a bit more mature since the Genoa loan, or maybe he’s felt a bit of love from Ange and the coaching team that he didn’t get from Warnock or Conte.
Either way, it’s only a good thing for us, because he is, and can be a very good player.

Udogie starts Europa and DJed starts at Brighton for me
still dont understand the reasoning for it, i believe it was a choice of Djed or Forster. But that seems an easy choice to me, Austin can't be that terrible as a stand in for this early stage of the comp .
It will probably be corrected when/if we reach the knockouts

Yes he was. As I recall it was the expected response about difficult decision, someone has to miss out and all that, but that Djed is going to make meaningful contributions elsewhere or some such..
was he injured? I'm confused why he couldn't have come on and at least given some energy on either side. Maybe at least handled the right side better defensively.
Either side of defense. Destiny appeared to lose the plot somewhat in the 2nd half. I was incredulous at the decision to leave Udogie on for the whole game.
I think he is just not trusted. You can clearly see we have so called first eleven (so todays starting team plus Son). And trusted guys (Biss, Sarr, Odobert, Richy when fit) - that can either start PL game sometimes or come into pitch in meaningful time. Rest (Spence, Dragusin, Gray etc) will play when only when we have injuries or are already like 2-3 goals ahead.
