He was the first sub for either FB to start the season mate. Ange was putting him on before Davies. He got injured and Ange was a bit reluctant to rotate his FBs.
He looks like the best fullback we have right now. At some point in the future, I wouldn't mind seeing him at right back and VdV at left back.
I enjoyed watching him play this evening and to be honest Udogie has been a bit off recently so no real drop off with the change of player
I am really happy that Spence finally has been given a chance - a chance he seem to have taken really well.
But people are quick to blame Angelos for rarely using him, without knowing what's gone on behind the scene.
Boro loaned him out to Forest before he joined Spurs. Conte hardly used him. Then he went out on loan to Rennes, where he lost his starting spot. Leeds cut his season-long loan deal short. And Genoa did not want to trigger his buy-clause at around £8m.
So it's not just Angelos who's deemed Spence "not good enough".

Ange is the first one who didn't.
And I'm sure he was told he had to earn his chance , and part of that would be showing patience and not throwing his toys out of the cot .
I've always liked the little I've seen of him and he looks like he has plenty of ability and confidence , probably fits Ange's game better than the other fullbacks .
Ange found a bit of use for GLC and Gil last season too.
This stuff will not be going unnoticed with Levy I can assure you.

Looking like he wants to play for us. And he's looking a good player
Defensively very good in the first 60min (before it all went keystone).... Totally comfortable playing out from the back too.......
Regardless of any prevailing pecking order, he simply must start at RB in the prem on every Europa League week.
