Player Djed Spence

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Reggie is on the bench. If Udogie needs rest play a fucking LB there lol

Reggie shouldn't be at the club. We should have a new back up left sided defender. We have a brutal injury crisis and can't afford to lose Udogie. There were several mistakes Ange made in that game i.e., leaving Son on and not getting Maddison on earlier but the FB subs weren't a mistake and saying it's Ange's fault a player dived into Spence in the 90th minute is mental. Pawson is the same ref who was visibly gutted when we beat City last minute under Conte, he had no need to send Spence off for that, he could have given the yellow for simulation just as easily.

Also Spence should have had a foul when he was dribbling into the box minutes before he was sent off. I thought the ref was poor.

Nobody wanted him. We didn’t sign anyone.

Of course. It’s Pawson. We were woeful of course but Anderson and Yates could and perhaps should have been off. Yet got their customary free hits in on us.

So fucking sick of Premier League officiating every week. Just bring on the Super League, this competition is dying a slow death.
There really does seem to be some sort of problem finding truly unbiased refs in the Premier league game.
Some games occasionally are refereed well, but more often than not there are great varieties of interpretations as to what constitutes fair physical contact, and alot of the decision making seems to follow crowd psychology or outright favoritism. One thing I enjoy about CL football is that you are much more likely to get a referee that is not subconsciously emotionally attached to a particular outcome.

And oh yes, SPENCE- still our #1 rated player on the THFC ratings 😂

And people are still in denial of it so there is unlikely to be enough pressure to change it.

I really wouldn't be surprised if the ESL has more takers from the Spurs fan base next time it comes around. This season of the PL is one of the least exciting in years.

Basically why we we should import the world's best officials..... Let only the elite in and leave the rest of the British to find their true level.

I didn’t think he was amazing at left back (although he is a right back by trade) but impressed with him at centre back. No idea why he was frozen out by Ange for most of the season, he is clearly good enough to use as rotation and competition for Udogie/Porro.

In terms of ability on the ball, difference between him and Udogie is like night and day. He looks much more comfortable in tight spaces, his vision is way better, and unlike Udogie he can often pull it to his weak foot because he's actually capable of using it, which makes him hard to predict for opponents. He never crumbled against their high intensity press today, wonderful stuff.

Considering Ange asks his fullbacks to play like central midfielders, him being right footed is actually an advantage when he's playing on the left. I can genuinely see him keeping his place even after Udogie comes back, he’s barely putting a foot wrong whenever he’s given the chance.
