I'm not sure that Porro played RB at his previous team, I get the feeling he's a RWB. He was bought for Conte's system.

It's a consequence of changing managerial styles so vividly. IIRC Spence was loaned out during Ange's first season, I rather think that Ange likes Porro for his attacking attributes.

I'd like to see Spence RB and Porro RW, in Johnson's position. For me the bigger problem is LB though.

Davies and Udogie, although not ideal, looked acceptable in the summer regarding left back.

It looks terrible now.

If you had a fb who put in a lot of crosses over the season - and they were not good ones - and so therefore he got no or very few assists - would that be good or bad?

Do you not accept that if you fb who gets into advanced attacking - he should be effective re some assists and goals?
Not necessarily Spence - but any fb.

It's early days - he might get some goals and assists - in which case he is right for our system.
Are you saying whether he does or doesn't - it doesn't matter?

Walker Peters is free in the summer.

He is better than Porro.

Hopefully Levy will not be able to fuck that up.

We should take a hit on Porro and make Spence the number 1 right back.

It's a shameful chapter on how not to run a football club.

Spence hasn't exactly found himself in the position to put in a "lot" of crosses....... And when he has it's been from an inverted position whilst playing on the wrong flank.

I think our system is a bit poxy (esp. what we do with our FBs); so I shan't be judging Spence's ability on the basis of whether he fits it.

His goal against Coventry helped keep Postecoglou in the job, guess for comparisons to Porro it doesn't count Airfix 😉

You know this answer make no sense right? Might as well say.. How do we know we won't employ is mum or dad as our new coach. These are assumptions we are all making, best guesses and opinions. But if it's reassuring none of the coaches we are currently linked with play with a back three as a matter of course.

Are we actually being linked with anyone at all yet?

I remember some bollocks about Alegri; but other than that isn't all the talk about Iraola, Frank & Terzic just fan chatter?

I just meant that it's probably a good idea to wait and see what happens with the current manager before we can start selecting fullbacks for the present system for next season.
